You have some leaky filter caps - C2C52 = 10MFD 50 VOLT (off base of Q2C51 on signal board) also check C2P05 = 100 MFD 16 VOLT off pin #3 of IC2P01 and C2P08,C2P03 = 100 MFD 16 VOLT

As technology
evolves, Sony continually looks to stand behind the reliability of its
televisions. It has come to our attention that a very limited number of
televisions manufactured between 2003-2005, after a period of time
exhibit a stationary scribble / random line pattern on the screen.

As
part of our commitment to quality, Sony is announcing that for any
owner of this model television who paid out-of pocket expenses on or
before May 26, 2006 for an estimate or repair service to replace the
optical block for this specific issue, Sony will reimburse the customer
by mail for his/her parts and labor expenses. To receive reimbursement,
please follow completely the directions and terms on the claim form for reimbursement; all claims must be postmarked by May 31, 2007.
In
addition, for any customer who later experiences this issue on one of
the affected models, Sony will cover the cost of the optical block
repair at no charge through September 30, 2007. All other terms of the
Sony limited warranty continue to apply.

These sets have capacitors that will go bad, but without a good ERS meater that tests these in curcuit you could be spending a lot of time doing nothing, But the most common is to find the 9 volt reg on the signal board and change all within a 2 inches of that regulator

ok....i know what is wrong with your set.. it is a small (very small micro fuse. rca has issued bulliten to service centers on the problem.. getting the fuse and describing where it is then soldering might be the difficult problem here.. but let me give it a try. it is located on the main signal board in a shelded covered board called the main signal board. The fuse, 1C33,is located approximately 2 inches behing the tuner
The surface mounted part has various markings on
the original part from “105” to “F”
and is located below the board marking “7C32'
Replacement fuse #275819 can be placed directly over the top and soldered to the ends of the existing fuse
to lessen the chances of damaging the board traces.
all that being said.. this is some trick soldering.. and unless your a tech i would not recomend such a repair.. i cant speak for all shops but such a repair is not that difficult for most techs and cost about 125 to 200. So good luck and let me know how it go's or if i can give any more detailed info
