1 Answer

Hi There, I have a Casion TK950 - I'm trying to program the department keys with prices, but everytime I enter " 1 Subtotal Price Dept Key Subtotal" my receipt paper goes crazy and runs until it is out of paper. So far I'll I've done to the machine is program the date time and I believe tax code It reads P01 when I try to enter the dept key It reads PGMX when it's printing the receipt. Thanks in advance if you can help me!

I tried to buy the manual off this site before I posted and it won't run on my mac. I'm gonna take the batteries out and start over. If I want to program all of my prices into the flat keys, i need to program them as department keys right? It gets a little confusing when the book doesn't explain the difference between PLUs Prices and Departments.

Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    anne

You need to download the manual from a cyber cafe and take a print of that manual, or you can order a hard copy of that manual.

When I program pricing Key is in PGM mode 1 Subtotal enter amount 600 for $6.00 hit the dept key then subtotal. Return to Reg price the dept number price comes up as $695 not $6.95

There appears to be an incorrect value entered during the programming process. If you send me an email to LBrown18062@hotmail.com, I will send you the manual that shows the correct programming sequence. Please put "casio PCR-T2100 manual" as the subject and I will send it to you right away.

I need help programming the a unit price for each department key. We are following the instructions, 1,subtotal, (enter amount), press appropriate dept key, subtotal, But it does not change the price.

Make sure you have the key in the program position and you can see P01 on the display after you press 1 SUBTOTAL (some models just show P). this will tell you that you are ready for price changes. Make sure you DO NOT use a decimal point, so for $5.00, type in 500.
If you still can't sort it, let me know the model number and I'll try to give more help.

What does inh.unit pr mean

INH. UNIT PR. means "Inhibit unit price". It means there is no price preprogramed for that department or PLU. Each department can be left open-priced, or preset. Open price is how you usually think of using a cash register: you enter a price, then touch the button. Preset price requires programing a price for a department in advance, but saves time in operation. You touch the Coffee button, for instance, and it automatically rings up the price you've set for a cup of coffee.
If you touch a normal, non-preset department without entering the price first, the register will error with the INH. UNIT PR message.
Touch the CLear key, enter the price, then touch the department.
Many of the Sharp registers, and I think the XE-A402 is one, allow a department to be both open and preset. It can also be programed to be inhibited completely.
The Owners Manual can be downloaded from Sharp here.

You have the department set as a SINGLE ITEM department. This is address N2 in the department programming sections of the manual. Change this value to 0 instead of one and you will be set.

Casio tk-1550 only accepts round number prices

You should be entering the price without the decimal pint as the figure enterd is based in cents and not Dollars, e.g, enter 299 and this uis $2.99 etc.
