Pls. Help! I can't figure out where to connect my power switch and other reset and led connector to my motherboard. The description found in my motherboard seems not clear. "4-6 Power switch", "+2-1 HD_Led", "+5-1 SUS_Led", "+3-1 Power_Led", nothing more. The pin arrangement look like this [::::.::] blank means w/o pin.

Where was your manual to tell you? If that is a hurdle for you, be careful.

Installed mother to new tower case and pwr sw | hd led | reset | power led connecting to my board is the Intel dq67sw 155 matx motherboard need accurate dir to connect these please help

info found at http://downloadmirror.intel.com/19707/eng/DQ67SW_ProductGuide01_English.pdf
Front Panel Header Pin info for DQ67SW. They should be color coded too. 1 Hard disk LED + orange
2 Power LED+ green
3 Hard disk LED - orange
4 Power LED- green 5 Reset Switch - blue
6 Power switch + red
7 Reset switch + blue 8 Power switch - red
9 Power Out (do not use)
10 No pin
NOTE When connecting individual wires from your chassis front panel to the front panel header, be sure to observe the connection polarity. Positive wires are usually solid color and negative wires are usually white or striped.
There is also an alternative pin header if you have a power wire that uses a 3 pin connector instead of a 2 pin connector. It is the 3 pins just past pin 9, and it should be missing the pin in the middle of the 3 pin block. The pin closest to pin 9 is the power led + and the furthest from pin 9 is the power led -.
if you need clarification, check out page 50 of the manual posted above at intel.com

Hello, I recently Bought a "Asus A8AE-LE Amberinem" motherboard, I just can't figure out which wires goes where and there's just too many, all that I found was this ->...

Each of the wires coming from the front-panel of your computer ends with a labelled connector:
* HDD LED
* POWER (PWR)
* POWER LED (PWR LED)
* RESET (RST)
* SPEAKER (SPKR)

Each group of gold-pins on the motherboard is similarly labelled.

All you _really_ need to connect is the POWER and RESET buttons,
but it's nice to connect the other ones, too.

CONNECTOR PROBLEM

Usually the connectors will be marked as in the picture, indicating their usage. 07471ce.jpgIf your connectors do not have a label printed on them you can figure out the important ones. You will have a pair of connectors each for the power switch, the reset switch, the power LED and the hard drive LED.
The two pairs of wires used for the switches are the important ones. They can be identified with a circuit tester or multimeter (Check for resistance/Ohms). When they are pressed, the meter should indicate a connection across the two wires. In the case of the power switch if it's a really old case it will toggle on and off, so watch for the continuity to change when you press it. Otherwise the reset and power switches will only register a connection when pressed, and revert to an open circuit when released. Use your multimeter to identify which pair reacts to which swtich, and label them with some masking tape and a sharpie (or equivalent way).
As long as you identify these two and connect them correctly you'll be okay. The LEDs are not essential to booting your system and you can figure them out later. LEDs have to be connected the correct way around (usually the white wire is negative), while the switches don't matter which way they are connected as long as it's to the correct two pins. You can connect the LEDs and see which ones light up on your panel to determine which is connected where. If your power-on LED lights when there's hard drive activity, then you know that the connector plugged into the pins for HDD LED is the wires for the power LED, and so forth.

Hope this helps.
