Try the sandisk on another computer to make sure that the flash drive is reading properly. I've had them go bad before cause the contacts wear out. If you can't get the flash drive to read on another computer then the flash drive is bad.

Click on my computer. Locate the port your card is on. Double click the icon. The next window should be whats on the card. Double click the icon and it should show whats on the card. If it shows nothing, go back to my computer locate the port your card is in and left click. go to properties and it will show if there is any information on the card. Hope this helps.

Where on my dell inspiron/1200 do i insert sandisk

Do you mean an 8GB SanDisk USB flash drive (thumb drive) or memory card (SD card or another type) or another SanDisk product?

If you have a flash drive, plug it into one of the 3 USB ports on the back of the laptop. If you have other devices plugged in, you may need a USB hub to add ports. (Note: hubs can fail; try a direct connection if the unit doesn't communicate.)

If you are using a memory card, you need to add a memory card reader. USB card readers are available from many shops; they will be cheaper from some online vendors compared to the big box electronics stores. Get one that supports the format of your memory card. There may be PC card slot card readers but I'm not aware of any specific models. The Inspiron/1200 supports Type I or Type II CardBus devices; 16-bit PCMCIA cards are also supported.

If you have a different item, please add a comment giving more informatiion on which SanDisk product you are connecting to the computer. I hope this helps.

Purchase an USB memory multi-card reader, insert the SanDisk into the memory card reader and then Plug the memory card reaser into the USB port in your computer, The computer then detects ir as an external storage device, you can then click on this device to see the various folders and files.

I have a sd micro card and i want to load music on it from my computer to put on my phone

Hello,

This is a relatively easy problem.

You can do so by using a memory card reader.

You can easily get a memory card reader from any local store at a cheap price, depending on your country.

Most of the Memory card readers come in USB type, so what you just need to do is to plug it in any available usb port on your PC, and then insert your
sd micro card in the appropriate port for it.

For SD Micro Cards (The Smallest Types), most times you might need to first insert it in a Small Card Adapter that comes with SD Micro cards, before inserting it in your USB Card Reader.

Hope this helps you out.

Kindly let me know how it goes.

Good luck.

My computer do not recognized my Sandisk Cruzer Micro 1.0 GB.

I had the same exact problem on my 8G card. It worked fine in the camera, but when I plugged it into the card reader it flashed once and then the light went off. So, I put the card back in the camera and ran a USB cable from my camera (there was a port on the side of my Cannon Powershot that was smaller than a USB, but I don't know what to call it) to my computer. When I turned the camera power on, the computer was able to read the 8G card while it was inside the camera. I downloaded everything to my computer at that point. Hope this helps! I got the chord from my external hard drive and that fit from the camera to the computer.

I was told to unplug it, since the printer would not respond. That worked! It reset itself when I plugged it back in and turned it on. Thank you.

Computer won't open program to import

#1. Reboot the computer.
#2. is the light coming on the card reader when you insert the card? If not, the computer is not recognizing the card. Make sure the card reader is plugged into a working USB port and the card is inserted in the correct orientation. If the light is coming on, simply go to "My Computer" and select the drive letter associated with the card.

Sandisk multi card reader

if you are using a cord and usb port it sounds like your usb port is loose and not holding on. Try plugging it into another port maybe on the back of your computer.
Let me know if this works
