Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
It's not a power supply problem. I have the same thing happening to mine. You have a problem with your motherboard. Your board has heated up and the soder on your cpu and gpu has melted away and disconnected it from the board. If you are still under warranty, send it to sony and it will be fixed in 4 to 6 weeks. If not, you can still send it to them and they will charge you $150.00 to fix it in the same amount of time. You can also go on youtube if you want and you can look up how to fix it yourself (if you know kinda what your doing). If you do this it will void warranty though if you try it. And they also might not work on it if you do not get it fixed.
It's your choice. but 90% of the time it is what I have said.
"Yellow light of death" pretty much means you get a refurbished from sony or you have to buy a new console
