Computer can't find the damn speakers

Hi. I have a problem with my Logitech x-530 speakers, and i hope you can sort me out.

Recently i reinstalled my Windows XP... i reinstall all my programs except one... i bought theese speakers long time ago and i don't remember where i put the CD (if it had any instalation CD) and now my computer dosen't regognize the speakers. Control panel can't help me and in FaQ there is nothing about this.

I tried to search another way so i can be able to use my speakers again. I remember that i configured my speakers using some Reltek (or something) program, but i don't remember which one...
If anyone has any salvation to my problem, then i would realy apreciate it!

I didn't find the x-530 but I did find the install guide for the x-540 which I assume is similar to yours. Most speakers (including yours) do NOT require software to work. If anything it's the sound card on your PC that requires drivers to work but if that is working fine then your speakers should plug and play and work w/o any software.

Copy and paste the entire contents above into your address bar to go to installation guide. If you have it connected correctly and it is receiving power then perhaps your Sound Card is not working correctly.

Hi I have the logitech x-530 5.1 surround sound speakers and I can not get the sound to come on do I need a disk to download them into a new computer? I originally didn't put them on my original computer

The speakers themselves shouldn't need any sort of software to work properly. They should just plug into the sound card in the back of your computer. If you aren't getting any sound, then it's likely you need to reinstall your sound card drivers.

To identify you sound card, goto Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Your sound card will be listed in there. Once you know what sound card you're using, go to the manufacturer's website and reinstall the drivers.
If that doesn't work, try this. Goto Start > Control Panel > Sound > Playback

Your speakers should be listed in here and they should have a checkmark next to them. If it's not next to the one that says Speakers, right-click it and set it to Enable.

Hi,
Follow the procedure for speaker installation here. Verify it.
As this is a very basic output device, it uses the computer's Audio drivers to channel the sound from each speaker correctly. Make sure that your audio driver is installed and working. Other wise open another ticket and give us info on the sound card

Logitech x-530 speaker problem

Try going through this troubleshooting procedure site first: http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-...*uWZ8vi&p_accessibility=0&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9NzgmcF9wcm9kcz04NDQsMTcmcF9jYXRzPSZwX3B2PTIuMTcmcF9jdj0mcF9zZWFyY2hfdHlwZT1hbnN3ZXJzLnNlYXJjaF9ubCZwX3BhZ2U9Mg**&p_li=&p_topview=1 If you get no solution from this, there are other similar logitech speaker systems that have had similar problems on initial models. it appears that logitech have been very helpful with replacing speakers in the past if design or product is faulty. Give them a try. hope this helps:)

Logitech X-530 Computer Speakers

There should be a setting in your sound card, assuming it is a 5.1 surround card, that allows the card to split the signal from two input connections (normally the normal speaker input'green' and the mic input'pink')into the required 5.1 output.
