I had the same problem with my W6200. The solution is usually to replace the print head but you may have to enter the service menu to get rid of the error message before the new print head will work. If you haven't installed a new print head you may try to remove your old one and reinstall it but in my case I had to buy a new one at about $550 to get my printer to work again.Be careful when removing the old print head! when the ink line assembly is disconnected from the the head ink will drain from the bottom of the print head. Have a pan and some paper towels ready! To get rid of the error message turn the printer off.Hold down the paper source button & the online button and hit the power button one time. Keep the paper source & online button pressed in until the printers name" Canon W6200" is shown on the printers LCD screen then release the two button. The printer should intialize and enter service mode. At this point I unplugged the printer for about five seconds before plugging it back in. If you have already installed your new print head I would try hitting the power button now and see if your printer starts working. If you have not installed a new print head I would open the cover and remove the old head at this time. close all the print head latches & the front cover. Press the power but to turn the printer on.After Intializing the LCD panel should say to install Print Head.Open the front cover and install the new print head. You can try reinstalling the old one after cleaning all the draining ink away. It doesn't hurt to try the old one before shelling out $550 for a new one but in my case I had to install a new head.Close all the print head latches & the Front cover. The carriage should move to the right and begin to prime the lines and fill the head with ink again. This will take several minutes.Your printer should start to work after the new Print head is primed!

Check the wiring assemble connecting the printhead to the printer and where the wiring connects to the printer. Anything loose here would prevent the unit from correctly reading the sensors on the printhead. Just a thought.

Are there air bubbles in the ink tube lines?
is your printhead draining ink onto the paper?
Most likely you need new ink tubes.

I have had two of my Canon plotters give this error.message, I had to manually move the carriage unit and replace the printhead. On one of the plotters the error message returned, on the second plotter I was able to go into service mode where it asked me to replace the printhead. I just went though the motions since the printhead was brand new and I was able to get the plotter to function correctly.

Error code U052; keeps saying incorrect printhead installed - the printhead has never been changed

Per Canon's website, and this just worked for my mp620:
Turn the printer on.
Open the cover.
Remove the ink cartridges.
Remove the printhead.
Re-install the above (this resets the printhead).
Close the cover.
Printer should initialize and go to home menu screen.

Error code uo52 how to reset

This indicates and error with the printhead. lull out the printhead and reseat it. If the message persists, you will need to replace the printhead. Normally, the error message automatically resets when you have inserted an undamaged printhead.
Let me know if you need additonal help or have questions. Thanks.

Canon Image Prograf w6400 error E02802

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Print head problem

Dear palia1234,
Blinking in orange 5 times indicates that the printhead error occurs. You need to replace the printhead with a new one. But be careful before replacing the printhead, check your printhead if any smoke smell or indication of short circuitry present. Replacing the printhead in this case will harm new printhead. You'd better to take your printer to the nearest service center.

Regards,
