Question about Acer Aspire One AOA150-1570 Notebook PC

1 Answer

Aspire One + alt-f10 = blue screen!

I was having problems connecting to my wireless modem, so I thought the problem must have been in one of the programs that I'd downloaded. Since I just got the computer LAST NIGHT, I didn't think I had all that much to lose, so I attempted to restore the factory defaults by pressing alt+f10 and redo what little I'd accomplished the night before.

Now, every time I boot up---even if I DON'T press alt+f10---the computer says "starting recovery management environment", then Windows XP logo, then blue screen.

No, I didn't get a recovery disk. The comp was a refurb, and I just got it last night so it should be WELL under warrantee.

Tried going through the bios and getting the setting defaults, but still got the "starting recovery management environment" then blue screen. Can't for the life of me get into safe mode.

Is there any place where I can download a recovery disk on the net and then put the info on a thumb drive? I can at least get into bios and change the boot priorities and get the computer to try and boot from the thumb drive.

Internal system is corrupt which is why your getting the blue screen. With Acer Aspires they should of came with a system disk and a recovery disk, did you get either one of them?

My Acer netbook will not boot completely to windows. I get a blue screen and then it attempts to reboot again. What do I do ?

Maybe you can try a system restore. If you are still running the pre-installed OS, press one of the following keys to start system restore. (Depends on which model you have)
  • ALT+F10
  • ALT+F8
  • FN+F8
  • FN+F10

Do this when you see the Acer boot screen. Hope this will help.

Hi,

Try restoring back to factory default, to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

If still the computer is not working then I am sorry to say that the Hard disk gone bad and need replacement.

Blue screen of death comes up then the netbook turns off

This article may help you....or these.
If you can turn off the auto restart to get a stop error code from the blue screen, that will help you to diagnose this error. See 'disabling restart..." here. Then reboot and note the exact error code reported. Write back with that info and we'll help you to sort it out.
You can look up codes here.
Also helpful links for blue screens here, here, & here.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
