Why wont the game load?

some games run differently on different xbox's. Heres an example, I bought a xbox slim 3 years ago, my sister bought one this year. When Call of Duty: Ghosts came out I bought two copies. Both worked perfectly on my xbox but would run maybe 2 to 5 minutes on her Xbox. Dont waste your time calling microsoft. I think its $79 for a slim and like $119 for an elite. When i called they were going to charge me $99 for a slim because it was for their time. otherwise wait til a store has a deal like walmart had 360's at black friday for $100.

Problems Go Through the Roof for Xbox 360 Vs. Wii

Here at FixYa, we have our community members solve problems dealing with all kinds of devices. I had a recent problem with my Xbox 360 and when I checked at the amount of problems associated with Video Games Console, I came to a surprising discovery:

Complaints about Xbox 360 Vs. Nintendo Wii

827af56.png
The Amount of Problems and Complaints about Xbox 360 is almost 3X the that of the Nintendo Wii.

Some might claim that the higher number of flaws in the 360 is due to the fact that it was introduced to the market a year and a half before the Wii, causing the average age of a 360 console to be older than the average Wii.

However this fact is somewhat offset when looking at the number of consoles out there – As of today there are 30% more Wii than Xbox360, much more Wii consoles to break down.

A 3X difference is really shocking, but I still thought it couldn't be as bad as it seemed. I thought the problems must be from people complaining about some trivial issues, but when I actually checked the Top problem on the Xbox, I found this:

3562989.jpg
The Red Circle Of Death:

Condition: When you turn on the Xbox you get a blank screen, a clack sound and 3 red lights on the front start that flash.

Result: Death. Or not being able to do anything with your Xbox.

Other frequent problems:

Showing picture but no sound – TV goes blank but you can still hear sound

2 red lights – XBOX turns off – Console is overheated and stops working.

Error E74 – Hardware malfunction – System hardware problem.

XBOX not reading Games – Lens gone bad.

Seriously? Those are some mean problems!

I checked what the Wii's Biggest Problem was:

Wii Remote doesn’t work:

Solutions: Resync it, Slap it or just Change the batteries…

704857d.jpg
Other frequent ones:

Forgetting password – Forgetting Secret question and password.

Ejecting disk – Disk tray doesn’t open up.

Unable to get into Wii Settings – Firmware issues.

It just comes to show you that the Xbox 360 is a beast and it has a lot of beast-sized problems while the Wii is a pretty simple machine.

The Wii scores another point; just feed it fresh batteries and it’s as reliable as a good old Atari!

I got a brand new 'lips' Xbox 360 game, put it

You might have a bad game if it is used. If it is not check to see if it plays other games without issues. Your Xbox might need to be repaired lets hope that isnt the case. You may also want to try it on a different console if at all possible. If all else fails you maybe need a new xbox if you are dying to play that game

It sounds like the dvd rom is failing inside the unit. Please give Microsoft a call for a free replacement:

Original xbox continous blinking green light, no eject & loading

sounds like a bad cable between the console and the TV, the XBOX is notorious for having issues if the cable isn't the correct one (a Microsoft one) or damaged.

the flash green with nothing else happening can be a failed bios.. coma console variant. It's possible to fix it with a chip, but uneconomic considering the price of a working box these days. It can also be a failed ide controller or bad ram..whatever, it's normally a scrapper with these symptoms unless you have a good junkbox...
If you have an xbox that fell it's always worth changing over the dvd drives, as they can cause weird faults as well, (as mentioned above re: unknown disks) as the green flashing is the usual "loading disk" message.

Cant play supported original xbox games, even with update!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure exactly, the problem could be because you downloaded the update with a burned disc. Sometimes Microsoft catches on to that kind of thing. Even though it says the update was downloaded successfully and is working properly, it may still block the purpose. It could still be blocking the use of original games because of the burned disc you used to download it.

DC vs MK freezes

Well your disc is officially garbage because it's scratched for sure. Don't bother trying to fix your game disc. Do what I did. Go to sellitbroken.com and sell your game to them. They will give you good money for it.

When you put in disk it says please put it in a xbox 360 consol

Three things come to mind:

  1. Bad Disc (rare, but it happens)
  2. Dirty DVD laser
  3. General DVD Failure
1), it is easy to determine. Switch game discs and see if the problem persists. If it loads up one game, but refuses to load another, the problem is obviously with the non-loading game disc.

2)you can attempt (if you are electronically adept and inclined to do so) to disassemble the console and manually clean it. Look for a tutorial on this one. Do not use a general DVD laser cleaner that you can buy at nearly an store that begins in "Wal-". If you are still under warranty, call Microsoft and make them fix it - that is what a warranty is for.

3) call Microsoft. You cannot manually replace the DVD drive (as each drive is uniquely linked to the motherboard of its console), unless you painstakingly use a key injector batch program and flash a brand new drive that must be ought separately. Even if you are out of warranty, Microsoft will replace it for around $100 - this may beat you trying to do it yourself.
