Question about Kenwood DDX-512 Car DVD Player
Parked my e38. In the morning i noticed the headlights flickering back and froth. when i tried to start the car it needed a jump. after jumping the tach and speed did not work. thinking it was the alternator i charged the batt and load tested it . looked good. parked the car and 24hours later the lights started to go on by themselves thus making the battery die again. alternator is orig for car and the batt is a few years old.

The first thing I would check is if your fuse is okay. If your fuse is blown replace and try to turn on the radio. If the fuse is good have the radio taken out and have it bench tested. take the power wire and the memory wire put them together and apply power to them then take the black wire and connect it to ground if the radio turns on then its okay and he fried something else. If the radio doesn't turn on then chances are that he fried it.
You can use a car battery to test your radio or a portable boost jumper.
Hope this helps you.

YOUR KILLING YOUR ALTERNATER
that would cost more than a grand to replace.
