The sound drivers will not work if you have XP SP2. If you have SP2, the download the MS UAA high def audio and install it first. Then you can install the sound drivers

Your sound card may not be compatable with xp !.you will need to download the driver for the original driver and sound card that came with your pc go to there site.

its not really hard .you can google your machine for how to replace sound card on your model. and youll be able to find a site that will show you how to do it some are very simpl some arent depending on where the card is located. youll basically have to remove all screws on bottom of laptop being carefull and youll gain access to the card ,it may be as simple as removing a back cover im not sure i have not looked up your model..did you download the driver that the machine came with.because a xp driver wont run a vista driver..i had an acer i put a dell xp cd on .it worked great but all drivers HAD to be the original drivers for that machine ACER VISTA.. Not XP drivers.i would go to packerd bell site and download the sound driver for your machine.delete the driver you have first..for this forget its xp and think vista because its vista driven so needs vista sound drivers..do u get me.. lol i hope so.

Unfortunately you have a problem that most people experience when upgrading their computer. The devices and the drivers for them are meant specifically for the operating system that came with the computer. More than likely it is not compatible with xp and that is why it is not working. replacing the sound card is very simple though. The problem lies with the manufacturer. Most of them will update their drivers for new systems, but they will not make drivers for previous versions.

I have recently bought a packard bell easynote mx37-t-003 laptop with an integrated webcam, however after using search commands, scanner and camera app i still cant get it to work! any ideas?

If it is XP, you should just click on the Camera icon in Control Panel. If Vista you have to install an application. Try MSN Messenger and connect to a friend with video link or google picasa.
