Since you have a dish reciever you could try connecting the dish box to the television with the AV cables.. (yellow, white and red cables) to the television. once that is done press the source button on the remote until it displays composite then you will have the picture from the sat box. Try it like this to see if it still loosing the signal..

Also you could try is turn off the sat box then back on and see if that fixes that problem if it does could be something wrong with the sat box.. also test a dvd player to see how that reacts.. if that plays good and you connect the sat box on that same connection then the sat box could be having some issues.

Is there a cord that connects my tv to my dish box? It is a VIP 211k.

Ethan Lensch,

I can definitely provide more assistance with this. The TV doesn't connect to the dish itself. The cable from the dish goes into a switch, then from the switch it runs in to your receiver.

On the back of the receiver is a "SAT IN" slot. Verify the cable plugged in there is hand tight, and follow it back making sure any other connections you see are tight. If the signal doesn't return, unplug the receiver for 10 seconds and plug it back in.

If the signal is still out when it powers back on, run a check switch test. This is done by going to Menu > System Setup > Installation > Point Dish > Check Switch > Test. When it is done it will either go back to the Check Switch screen, or give you a message. If it takes you back to the screen, exit out and see if signal returned.

If the signal still isn't returning, or you get a message saying "Fewer satellites dectected", let me know here or by email at thomas.faust@dish.com and I can look into getting a tech out to fix this!

Added a 322 reciever to my lake house to be able to watch tv in 3rd room i had 2 standard recievers before. i installed a dish pro quad lnb & reciever had a separator w/it says dp plus 123254 tuner 2...

Is TV 2 off the 322 receiver being back fed from the receiver or do you have a direct connection to the 3rd room? If it is a direct connection, you would screw the coax from the 3rd bedroom directly to the TV 2 Home Distribution channel 21-69 out port.

If you are back feeding, you need 2 diplexers that connect 1) by the receiver and 2) between the receiver and the 3rd TV. The back feeding will use the same cable coming from the dish to the receiver.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

The New TV.don't come on, keep showing no signal, don't know what is wrong, can you help us, to get it going. thank you

Hello,

The TV is turned on. The TV showing "no signal" is an indication that is turned on. Its just that the TV is not recieving any signal whatsoever from an antenna, DVD player or dish.

I suggest you connect thee TV to a DVD player. Click source on the TV remote to AV 1. Use a RCA (yellow white and red wire) for the connection.

Yellow stands for video and white and red stands for audio. Connect yellow to "vidoe out' from the DVD player to 'video in' at the back of the TV. Do the same for the audio white and red.

Now there should be a display on the TV. If there is not display, check your connection.

Let me know if need more help.

Your sincerely.

Satellite dishes wen down during storm. Attempting to find signal. SDHBH box is unresponsive. Is there a hard reset procedure?

Yes,unplug, replug the box back like about an hour later. The box, will reboot and updated it software. The incomming broadcasting signal should be back.If not storm, did more damages to the LB reciever connected on the dish itself.Must call Dish Network to check it out, might have to replace it.

SATELLITE DISH

Sure you can, if you have Dish Network go to the receiver and turn the TV and receiver on. Then press menu-6-1-1. This takes you to the point dish screen. You will come out with better results using a compass to find the azimuth the dish should be pointed toward and bore sighting the dish by pointing it in that direction. You then will need to move the dish in very minute increments pausing for 15 to 20 seconds after each move to ensure the satellite signal can be found. If you have ran a check switch prior to this and have lost all satellites you more than likely will not receive a signal until you run another check switch and have found the signal of at least one of the orbitals. If this proves to be to tedious and many times it will you can usually find an inexpensive signal pointing device at a store like Radio Shack. Hope this is some assistance to you. Let me know if I can be of additional assistance and thank you for using Fix Ya.

What input did you connect the satalite to? Probably one of the 'video' inputs I'm guessing, which means you have to select that video source using the 'INPUT' button on your remote. (Some makers use different names but you get the idea)
Hope Ya Fix it!
