Start the computer and hit F11 repeatedly, you will get a screen that will let you reset it back to out of the box factory which is what you want. Just remember that doing that, you will lose everything you currently have on the computer and it will return to how it was the day you took it out of the box.

What OS are you running? If you are running XP or older, boot to safe mode and install SDFix, it has to run from safe mode and that should get you a start of being repaired. Then once that runs, I would highly recommend formatting your computer so you have a fresh start. Here are the instructions: http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/Remov...

Try restarting you computer in Safe mode [reboot computer and press F8]. Safe mode disables a lot of functions thus allowing you to trouble shoot a computer issue without all the added security. Or alternatively, after manually updating your antivirus, you schedule a start up scan [very effective]

when you boot your computer, you should have a couple of prompts come up on the to go to setup and F key or to run recovery F something key also. go to your setup, and set the (BOOT) order to cd rom first with the recovery CD in your cd rom and then click ecsape. and save and re boot, hopefully your computer will reboot and reinstall the operating system. and you should end the problem, if not hit be back and we ll try to work it out.

ZyXEL P-330W wireless router

No it will not work you cannot connect a router to another router wirelessly and it will most likely not be detecting each other, routers are built to transmit internet signals from modems if you have a router and a computer but you do not have your own internet connection that will not work conencting to another router you will need USB Wifi Card transmitter/reciever to be able to connect to your friends wireless internet.

but if your friend only has a modem you can lend him your router and get a USB wifi transmitter/reciever to be able to connect to your router that is conencted to your friends modem this will work but will not work if you and you friend will both have a router creating a network.

The wireless internet connection wont work. we previously had a wireless connection and now it wont register. we lost the connection completely and it doesnt show up on the list of internet connections....

Try turning off the router for 30 secs, then power it up again.
Then try connecting a LAN cable from the computer to the router and see if you can connect to the Internet.
If you can connect to the Internet then -
With the LAN cable open a browser and type in the configuration URL and check the Wireless settings, then check and/or the wireless card settings (it should have the router's SSID and encryption settings etc.)
Also install the latest wireless card driver.
Then test the wireless and Internet connection. If this doesn't work -
Next connect the computer with a LAN cable to the cable or DSL modem to see if you can connect to the Internet.
If you cannot get an Internet connection with the LAN cable, contact your ISP and get them to test the connection to your modem.
If the modem and Internet is OK and you still cannot get a wireless connection then the problem could be a faulty wireless router.

TEW432-BRP Trendnet wireless broadband router wont connect

Sounds like you need to configure the PC's USB wireless adaptor. The settings must be the same as the router. If you use a WEP password on the other connections then you need to have the same password on the USB wireless adaptor. Good Luck.

Internet/network problems

Connecting the laptop to your network using a network cable, does this solve your Internet problems?
Does this works without the Internet connection dropping out?
If the wireless connection has a low signal, try positioning the wireless router or the laptop to get a better signal strength.
Also try reinstalling your wireless driver.

HP laptop shows full internet signal, wont let me connect

First, the "Network Cable Is Unplugged" - don't worry about that. That is just informing you that your WIRED connection is unplugged, which is fine because you are using wireless.

Now the actual issue of no internet...first try by unplugging your internet modem for 20 seconds, and plugging it back in. Next do the same with your wireless router. At this point your computer will disconnect form the wireless network and you may need to reconnect it. After the reconnect see if you still have the same issue, but chances are it should be fixed :-)

If that does not work let me know and we can further troubleshoot the issue!

Laptop driver needed

Hello,

You dont need a driver for the wireless router. If your laptop can recieve wireless signal(from a wireless router) all you need is an active internet connection, configure the laptop and router to distribute the internet, you're good to go.

If your laptop cant recieve a wireless signal from a wireless router then you might need a USB Wifi Dongle.

Hi there

I think up to now you've been using someone else's Internet service, by picking up the signal wirelessly. You need your own Internet Service. You now connect your access point in the way the Internet Service Provider guide you. It is a different set up with cable (they provide a modem) or with BT (connection through your phone line).
