When I use the lower drawer, the plates come out clean but the water drains to the top drawer. The top drawer works fine and drains fine. The water pressure is on high and there are no kinks in the hoses. Any ideas?

Lower drawer drains into top drawer. Had repairman out twice and paid over $100.00 but problem not fixed. Fisher and Paykel not too interested in problem. They suggested repairman ck it out. Dishwasher is 4 years old, used only several times/week. Carolyn in Dallas

Started with top dishdraw. Got stuck on 22 minutes remaining on short cycle (49 mins) just doesnt go past this. I have seen an F4 error once. Stopped using the top draw, and now the same is happening with the bottom. Can anyone help...... please....

I have close to the same problem but I think my top drawer drains into the bottom. Has anyone else fixed this issue with theirs?

Machine gets stuck on first wash cycle and cannot progress. If I turn the machine off, it drains itself. Water residue gets left in base of machine. Can use the rinse cycle - machine can get water and drain most water. I have totally dried the top draw with a hair dryer - tried the machine on all wash and rinse cycles. I have changed over the centre rotating plate from the bottom to the top draw to see if that is the problem - hasn't changed anything. The machine keeps heat as it can wash for 10+ hours and still have hot soapy water (hardly put any soap in). Had a washing maching man come out (not F&P)and he more or less told me to just buy a new machine as these are not worth fixing. Is there anything else I can try before either getting F&P to attend or keep using the remaining draw until this also breaks down. Thanks

About a half inch of water remains in the base after a wash you know why?

Could be the little non return valve mounted underneath the top drawer. Lie down on the floor under the top drawer, remove the main plastic pannel covering the bottom to expose the black drainage hose (you may need to cut away a cable tie). Remove the drainage hose from bottom of the drawer - at the start of the drainage hose there will be a small rubber type flap - if it looks broken or worn out, it will need replacing - call F & P for a replacement, approx $5 + postage for a pair (one for the top drawer and one for the bottom)
Hope this helps

I had the same problem with bottom drawer not draining and seemed to be flowing into the top. I disconnected the y-connector to the garbage disposal and it was full of gunk. I cleaned it out and it works like new.

During Drain Routine
During the Drain Routine, the water level is checked continuously. Normal drain will occur until the
pressure switch senses no water in the wash tub and there is no foam (suds). The drain pump will
operate an additional 15 seconds after the pressure switch reports no water or foam.
If the drain routine operates for four (4) minutes and the pressure switch senses any foam (suds) in
the wash tub, the Central Control Unit will start the "Kill-Foam" Routine. (See description of this
Routine below.) After the Kill-foam Routine is concluded, the Drain Routine will restart. If, after
four (4) minutes the pressure switch still senses foam in the wash tub, the Central Control Unit will
go into Failure Mode. The digital display will show, F02.
During Spin (Extract) Routine
During the Spin/Extract Routine the water level is checked continuously. If, during this routine, the
pressure switch senses the presence of foam (suds) in the wash tub, the Central Control Unit will
stop the drive motor and the basket will stop spinning. The electronic control will count the number
of spin repetitions that are attempted due to foam (suds). There are a maximum of three (3)
attempts for each Spin/Extract Routine.
Kill-Foam Routine
The Remaining Time counter is stopped.
The digital display shows Sud.
The Drain Pump is turned OFF.
The Central Control Unit will fill the wash tub with 1 gal. (4 L) of cold water.
While the tub is filling the basket will tumble 1 sec. ON/15 Sec. OFF.
Once the tub is filled, the drive motor will turn OFF and the basket will rest without any
movement for five (5) minutes.
After the five (5) minute rest, the remaining time counter will restart and the digital display
will show the remaining time left in the routine.
If the Kill-Foam routine was initiated during a Spin/Extract Routine, the tumbling action
will be reduced to a cycle of 3 sec. ON/13 sec. OFF. If, at the end of either the Drain or Spin/
Extract Routines, a suds condition still remains, the digital display will show Sud.
Sud will also be displayed for a short period at the end of a cycle, if a Suds condition was
detected during the cycle. This will alert the consumer to reduce the amount of detergent in
subsequent uses MANUAL

I have a Kitchen Aid 2 drawer dishwasher and its about 2 years old. My problem is the top drawer will not drain during wash cycle. The bottom drawer drains fine. model number KUDD03DTSS 10

You may have clogged pump to the drawer. open drawer, lay on your back under the dish drawer, removed the black cover (3 screws) remove 2 screws to the pump and allow the water to drain out into a bucket or bowl. make sure the pump can turn easy. Reassemble and test unit again. If fails, replace pump.
I hope this helps, good luck

Wont do drain cycle, goes back to wash cycle

check the drain hose and the kitchen sink drain outlet are clear.
It is possible the soil sensor is faulty and is drawing more water thinking the dishes are still dirty. Check if you hear the drain pump operate briefly during wash cycle.

Hi I have a DD603 F & P dish drawer. I had an F2 fault, found the rotor motor seized. I've replaced that but F2 still comes up & the water doesn't drain away. Any ideas?

Before we talk about water not draining away, can you confirm if the wash arms rotate during the wash cycle. The rotor works as a wash pump and drain pump depending on which cycle it is in.

If F2 keeps coming then it is also likely there is some debris in the rotor cavity which is grinding on the rotor. But one needs to be sure if F2 is coming up only in drain cycle or is it already on during wash cycle.

What does U3 mean?

U3 can mean quite a few things depending on when it occurs and which drawer it is.

It could mean Lid fault and will show up as soon as you start dishwasher.

It could mean drain problems if it occurs later in the wash cycle and there is water left behind.

It could mean the wash arm is not sitting properly if it occurs during wash cycle.

Water left after finishing wash

I have a Bosch Dishwasher and the E-Nr is SGS4362EU/03. The machine is approximately 4 years old, in good condition and has been working very well. Suddenly, there is water remaining after it completes a 50 degrees C wash cycle. This is also evident with the pre wash cycle and the 65 degrees wash cycle.

I have checked and cleaned the filters. I have loosened the internal pump white cover (Torx T 20 screw) and checked for any physical blockage - none. I have also checked for any drainage hose kinks - none.

I have tried a series of empty washes and the machine drains the water during the wash cycles. The dishes are also have a dull colour and show show signs of not being properly rinsed during the wash cycle.

Please assist.

Dish drawer leaks

The f1 is a flood error. There is a sensor in the bottom reading water. You have to dry it out before you can do anything or the drain pump will just keep running. Check the lid of the drawer you where using to see if anything may have been holding it up or if the seal is torn. If that looks ok you will have to check the lid actuators to see if one is not working. I would replace both right and left if one is out.
