Question about Logitech Z-2300 Computer Speakers

2 Answers

Speakers won't power up. Tried replacing the fuse, no luck. They were working fine. I took them outside to do a movie on the side of the house. Never got that to work (forgot some other things I needed). Plugged it in and no blue power indicator light, no sound, no nothing. The subwoofer weighs 40 lbs or so. This is a big hunk of metal to put in the trash, not to mention about $110 to replace. Any suggestions?

No, actually did not get wet.

fuse isn't blown. I have two sets (one upstairs, one downstairs). Upstairs set works, took out upstairs fuse, put it in broken downstairs unit, still broken. Put it back in upstairs unit, upstairs unit still works. I found a newer version of the same speakers for about 75 bucks on Amazon so don't lknow if it will be worth it to fix these :(

Good to know it's toast. Sorry I couldn't fix it

I had the same problem, and what worked for me was to plug headphones into the jack on the wired remote. The moment I did that, the blue light went on and the speakers powered up. It continued to work even after removing the headphones. So I think the problem was with the wired remote controller, which is infamous for going out, and Logitech does not sell replacements. I have to thank this forum for giving me the headphone idea, even though the person who mentioned it had an entirely different problem (one with unequal speaker volume until he plugged in headphones, then they were equal).

I've just moved house re plugged in my base station and now no power to it? Was working fine. Tried in a few power sockets still won't switch on. Will check fuse.

Maybe the outside fuse box has been turned off, or the house just has a lot of bad sockets that have to be replaced.
First check the if the outside box is on, switch in up position.
Then walk around with a small lamp and try it in all wall outlets to determine which are good or bad sockets.
Then replace all the bad ones. With the power turned off again for safety.

My tv works at my friend house, but doesn't work in my apartment. However all other electrical devices work at my apartment, model is (SLED5000)

Sounds strange indeed. All other devices; except the TV works fine with all power sockets at your house!! Just replace the power pin, at the end of the TV power cord and check. There is nothing more to check for you. It it too do not help you, contact any service technician. Electro help

Hi Burgh, you might want to give Harmon Kardon a call on this one, but there are radio fuses 1992 and later Touring Models, fuel pump fuses and relays will be behind the right side panel, everything else will be behind the left side panel to access fuses pull back on the front two locking tabs and slide the cover up. Good luck.

2001 olds aurora, no power to passenger side window modules..plugged them into driverside doors they work.. also tried pass. side window motors on d.s and they work fine, any idea on what wire is power....

If the driver window works, the 30A PWR WDO CB and the 10A DRVMDL fuse in the rear fuse block must be OK. The passenger window gets power from the 10A PASS MDL fuse and that should be checked. The rear windows get power from the 10A RRDR MDL fuse and that, too, should be checked. The same circuit breaker and fuses protect the door locks so replacement of the burned out fuses should clear up your problem

I tried to turn on my air coditioning today for the first time this year and my Totaline Themostat P474-1050 won't turn on. Worked fine during the winter and last summer.

the thermostat is powered by the unit or batteries if batteries they may be dead if the unit you need to check fuses outside at unit or reset breaker outside depending on age of installation

The Breville BOV650XL will not power on.

I had the same problem with my Breville B0V650XL. It worked fine at breakfast, then wouldn't turn on the next time I tried to use it. Judging by the comments on this site, this appears be a common problem with this and many other Breville products.

I fixed my toaster oven by replacing the thermal fuse assembly. This part costs $4.39 on It's a shame that an expensive toaster oven is rendered useless by the failure of such a cheap part.

Replacing the thermal fuse itself is very simple - you'll need a small wiring nut and a phillips screw driver. Unfortunately, getting to the part requires removing the oven cover and about 40 screws. A long, magentic scewdriver is essential for parts of this job. It took me about 1 hour to fix my oven - two minutes to replace the fuse and the rest of the time to remove and replace the oven cover.

My son took my Large Advent speakers to college and now both of the tweeters are not working. I tried hooking up other tweeters and they don't work either. The woofers sound fine.

Check the crossover boards inside the cabinets, look for burns or signs of melting, sniff them too!
If you're in luck, u may even find fuses on there, good luck

Speakers are not working

try these. remove ac adapter and battery. press and hold on the power button for 15 seconds. plug back ac adapter and battery. download the latest bios for your system from the manufacturer's website. if still same problem try a system restore from the time when everything was working fine. try an external speakers check if the audio jacks are working. if all fails replace mobo. if external speakers ok then replace laptop internal speakers.

Shuts off then red light indicator flashes, disconnected all speakers but still wont work

Hi, this is a power board issue. remove the cover and make sure that this unit doesn't have blow fuse. if the fuse is fine, you will then need to replace the integrated power/ main board.
