I accidentally dropped my remote and when I went to turn off the fan...it stopped working. I love the fan...but when I manually turned it on at the switch - the light came on but not the fan. The battery is fine - and working...'cause the red light comes on when a remote button is depressed...but none of the fan buttons work. Any thoughts on how to fix this. OR - do you know where I can replace the remote. Thanks...

I had the same problem. I found that the reverse button needs to be pressed really hard. It now works but I need to press that button really really hard.

Mine quit again...ANSWER #5 ABOVE!! I ACCIDENTALLY stumbled on this solution

  • Don B Jul 10, 2014

My Hunter remote is a 85095 - 01 Part #...oops...sorry! As the fan is on and turning, hit and hold the light power button at the bottom. Then hit the MEDIUM fan speed button that has 2 embossed dots on it. My fan reverses at this point...your should too!! One other tip i discovered...with the light on...hit and hold the light power button...the light dims 'till you let it go!! GREAT mood lighting!! Enjoy!! Let me know hot it goes!!

Oddly enough, when I had this problem, all I did was to change the battery. Apparently, it must need just a bit more power to reverse. I hope this helps you like it did me!!

How to reverse fan?

to change the fan from counterclockwise to clockwise get the fan going on hi. Hold the hi button while switching the wall switch from OFF to ON quickly. The fan will switch direction. To go from clockwise counterclockwise just hold down the low speed button until the fan switches direction. This makes no sense but it works only took 7 years to figure out.

Minka Aire model f603 reverse switch?

Not sure what model of fan or manufacture you have. Says Hunter 52" & Minka aire F603. If it's the Minka , Then push the button on the lower part of the remote (6 o'clock). If that doesn't work then you might need a new receiver.

Lights come on at random .has a remote how to fix ?

The fan remote control receiver used in the Hunter 25730 model fan (see picture) is not available from Hunter. Remove the fan from the ceiling. Remove the receiver and take it to recycling. It can be replaced using a readily available and inexpensive replacement universal remote and receiver controller. There are limitations though. The Hunter receiver provided fan reversing functions. The universal controllers do not. You therefore have two options.

Option 1: The universal receiver can be installed such that the fan direction is fixed, either up or down, all other functions operate normally.

Option 2: A reversing switch can be purchased from Radio Shack for about $4 and installed in the fan. This does require cutting a square hole and drilling two bolt or rivet holes in the side of the cylindrical housing which previously housed the Hunter receiver. I'd suggest the Radio Shack DPDT slide switch part number 275-403.

Refer to the wiring diagrams and connector pinout diagram for connections. Please note that the connector pinout diagram is the connector that is soldered to the circuit board as shown in the photo of the Hunter receiver. If your motor wire colors are different then with the connector unplugged from the receiver use a multimeter to probe all the motor wires in order to identify two pairs of wires that indicate approximately 70 ohms each pair. These will be the motor windings. 6b0a1409-5a20-4efe-a059-c600652e9512.jpg 5da8e4ef-1b54-40d0-a8a4-21d4608b1d23.jpg 9fc8772d-3ac3-41b7-aa55-78ccc6e5ea00.jpg 0759e340-6464-4c4b-90f5-6d9926e74e42.jpg

The reverse switch usually is in the lamp housing directly under the motor. With a vaulted ceiling installation, you would need to use a ladder to get access to the switch

Hi I need to know if I can switch the direction my hunter green Lasko fan is turning it is going clockwise and I would like to reverse it for the summer can't find a switch we've have it for...

Turn the fan off. Locate the reversing switch. It is on the base of the fan near the fan speed and light switches. if its not on the remote control. have a good day !!
If it does not have a revesing fan switch and its older, You may have to physically(with fan stopped)
Push blade in from end and twist blade for reverse air.

Just installed a hunter 27227 remote for use with my Hampton Bay fan. The fan was electronically reversable via a F/R switch on the old remote. Everything is working great except that the thing is running...

I recently had Hampton Bay fans installed with the Hunter remote and the electrician showed me that there is a small switch on the fan and you turn it either up or down depending on whether it's hotter months or cooler months because it changes the direction of the airflow to cool down a space or help spread heat. That may be what your issue is-- it's probably set to help spread heat rather than cool things down. I hope this helps!

Cannot change the direction of my fan...

Your reversing button for that particular model is on the remote control. There is no button on the fan body itself.
