I tried to add windows xp and when i did it did not boot all the way before that i had windows 2000 professional on my laptop but i guess it's all gone or have i lost it can i get it back please what...

It is possible to get it back if you didn't format your hard drive during the installation process.

I would try to run the repair on the windows 2000 installation disk or take it to a data recovery expert.

Acer programs removed by mistake, not responding, no back up disk

If it's just the drivers you can anytime look for them using the Google. You should save all your photos in any other drive other then C drive or in any other flash/external drive you can save it in your cell phone and later on load it back to PC.Make sure while you install windows you don't format the drive you have put your photos in. By default C Drive is meant for installing windows.

Avg 8 removal problem....

hi iam sharu
The recommended procedure is a time consuming one. You must download the latest version of AVG from the website, and then run it.

1) Click on the following link and download AVG to your desktop

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0

2) Double-click on the downloaded file to run it
3) AVG will present you with three options to choose from. Choose the Uninstall option to completely uninstall AVG

Add/Remove Components - choose if you want to add/remove some components or reinstall the entire AVG program
Repair installation - this option repairs or reinstalls missing or damaged components of AVG
Uninstall - this option removes the AVG program from your PC

4) Once the uninstall has completed, restart your computer. You can then proceed to install another antivirus or install AVG again.

Add Lexmark X3550ack on my cp -deleted by mistake

what I would do is delete the hard files first. do this by going to Start then hitting the Search button in the search bar type Lexmark X3550 and all subfolders do a search in your hard drive more possibly labled C:// drive once all those folders appear making sure that only Lexmark information is shown drag and drop these in the recycle bin. next go back to Start-then Control panel-then add or remove programs scroll down once populated search programs appear search to see if there is an icon for lexmark if this is so then click add or remove button after highlighting and click to remove. the next step is to remove the printer from the computer and remove the power cord. reinstall the printer as a new install first time install follow the instructions that are on your install disk.

NO sOuNd

try this steps
When installing Sigmatel* or Realtek* audio drivers (either from the Express Installer CD or using the latest driver download available from the web), the installation may fail with either of the following error messages:
· Device Object not present, restart the system and run setup again.
· The system does not support the driver you are attempting to install.
The Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio class driver for Windows* may be corrupted or causing problems with the audio driver installation.

To resolve this, try the following:

1. Click Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
2. Look for the following two items: Realtek* High Definition Audio Driver and High Definition Audio driver Package - KB888111.
3. If these items are listed in Add/Remove programs, remove them.
4. Restart Windows.
5. Download the latest audio driver for your desktop board from Download Center.
6. Double-click the filename to extract the files.
7. Go to the folder where the files have been extracted and browse to the \HDAQFE\xpsp2\us\ folder or the \MSHDQFE\Win2K_XP\us\ folder. (The name of this folder depends on your desktop board model.)
8. Double-click the file kb888111xpsp2.exe to install the High Definition Audio Driver Package.
9. Restart Windows.
10. Install the audio driver.
