Run the power wire directly to the clock fuse in your fuse box. The power is constant there.

I bought a power drivers seat from a 1998 dodge ram. I have the wiring out of the truck but need to know where the wires connect. I have a 1997 dodge ram with manual seats and it's not wired for power...

The wiring should be mostly self contained in the seat. All you should need to provide is a power source and a ground. There are many places to tap into a 12V source.
I have linked to a nice wire key for that truck:

How do I remove the watts regulator and wire it direct to the lighting - Hunter Ceiling Fan watt regulator 98480-02

Try this; Wire nut the two white wires together & do the same to the other two wires. You might also find something on youtube if this doesn't work.

DEH-15UB

hi brian, the remedy to your problem is simple. your power wiring from the unit has been incorrectly connected to the vehicle. from the unit connect the yellow wire "directly" to the battery +12v positive line, and the red wire to a "swiched" +12v positive position on the ignition barrel, OR the yellow and red wires can be joined together directly on the battery +12v positive line. also make sure that the ground connection is 100% secure. cheers.

Sub system won't play can't find in settings amo hooked up to subs yet still nothin help plz

Is the amp switching on? There are two 12v wires that have to be connected. One from a direct constant 12v supply source, and the other one from the ignition switch 12v source.Find a single 12v. supply which you can take from the lighter connection and then trace a 12v wire that runs from your ignition switch. This is mentioned in the amp manual.Double check. If the amp is coming on but no sound, then your wire connections from the amp are not correct.Or you have also connected the speaker wires incorrectly.Remmember not to connect the earth of the speaker wires to the direct earth(body of the car) but to the earth wires that are shown in the manual as this could blow the amp power IC. The earth wires of the speakers are marked -- and + respectfully and are also colour coded. You should have a RCA female plug connector from your amp to the subs. Check everything double and if still no luck their is a possibility that you could have blown an IC in the amp from wrongly connected wires. Hope this is not the case.

Car stereo install

Get your hands on a good wiring diagram for the vehicle, preferably from the dealer, find applicable wires (and color) on chart.

Then get said head unit, either in the manual for it or on the case of the unit there will be a color-code chart, match colors and/or wire functions (ie., POWER to 12V constant).

You should ALWAYS use a remade wiring harness, every professional does unless its a true fabricated install, but this method works also. Remember, the wires are already existing in the car, all you really need to do is identify which is which and hook them up to the head unit.

PS: make good, secure connections; no half-assed electrical tape jobs.

99 jeep grand cherokee left turn signal quit working

First I recommend making your own "power flow chart" Make a simple diagram of the directional system as you know it to be. Then, using that chart, take voltage readings and use a test light at each point you check.(write down results on chart) On the power side, you should get a 12v reading and have a bright light on test light. On the "flash" side, you should have 12v and bright light pulsing. I like to work from both ends in... that eliminmates stuff like starting at the front and finding the problem all the way at the back. Make sure you have a good ground everywhere. If in doubt, either re-ground body or while testing, use a seperate long ground wire from the battery connected to test light or meter.Make sure all appropriate fuses are good. Use power in, power out test on all plugs, junctions and sockets.
It sounds complicated but it's not.
Good luck

Red wire

your red wire is probably your ignition 12V, check on your harness if you you have a permanent 12V ( + Batt), if you didn't have a permanent 12V you have to connect your red wire to a permanent 12V or directly on your positive battery
hope this helps
