Kenmore ultra wash dishwasher

Dishwasher hangs up and will not get past 52-48 mins left in a normal or water miser cycle. The water may not be heating properly and the heating element may be at fault. The element looks in great shape almost new, could it still be broke? Can you check the element without taking it apart? Would the water not heating hold up the washer?

If the element has a thermal fuse then it may still look good even when blown. The only way to check is to test for continuity across it. Unfortunately this can only be done from where the wires are connected onto the element. The water not heating up would stop the cycle, as it needs to hit temperature before continuing the cycle. This might not be the reason your machine is stopping, but hole this answers the questions and points you have made in your post

SOURCE: Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher

check and see if you are getting ac 110 volts to your water vave when trying to start the unit. if no power check your breakers and /or the incoming power to your dishwasher if they are ok and show 110 voltage coming to the unit then you probably have a control board or touchpad problem which would need a little more detailed check out.
If you do have ac 110 to your water valve then you may just have a bad water valve. Because the washer has to fill first. Hope that helps!!

SOURCE: kenmore dishwasher ultra was quiet guard 3 model

that would be model # 66516012403 correct??
you may have inadvertently set the lock on function..
check this out from your manual...

Lock On
Use the Lock On to prevent unintended use of the dishwasher
between cycles. You can also use the lock feature to prevent
unintended cycle or option changes during a cycle.
When LOCK ON is lit, all buttons are disabled.
NOTE: The dishwasher door can be opened while the controls
are locked. However, the lock must be turned off and the Start/
Resume button pressed to resume the cycle.
To turn on the Lock
Press and hold HEATED DRY for 4 seconds. LOCK ON glows.
If you press any pad while your dishwasher is locked, the light
flashes 3 times.
NOTE: If the Heated Dry option is selected, the light will
temporarily turn off until Lock On glows.
To turn off the Lock
Press and hold HEATED DRY for 4 seconds. The light turns off.

hope this helps,
best of luck,
ttfn

Kenmore ultra wash dishwasher gets stuck at 42 on the control panel

Be aware that all (well, almost all) dishwashers have a "thermal hold" period in their cycles. This is the point in the main wash cycle where the heater is turned on to heat the water to the optimum wash temperature (about 150 to 160 deg F), and during this time, the timer will stop advancing. Once the water has reached the desired temperature, the cycle will continue. IF it does not, then you have a water heating problem. This could be caused by a bad heating element, a bad controller, a bad thermostat or temperature sensor.

What is the sequence to reset kenmore dishwasher 665.16819992? The buttons from left to right are pots/pans, normal wash, water miser, china gentle, quick rinse, water Heat, no Heat dry, delay Hours,...

You haven't said why it needs reset, so possibly it can't be reset if there is a mechanical or electrical problem with a part in the dishwasher.
Here is a link to a page on YouTube. They usually have good repair videos and how to videos:

What is the sequence to reset kenmore dishwasher 665.16719000? The buttons from left to right are pots/pans, normal wash, water miser, china gentle, quick rinse, high temp, air dry, delay wash, start

Press "high temp wash, heated dry, High temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash"

All the lights will go solid at which point you press cancel to reset the board.

**NOTE** if you don't have a "heated dry" button, use the "air dry" or "energy saver dry" button instead.

Kenmore ultra wash quiet guard 3 dishwasher problem

call sears, 1-800-4MY-HOME. They have a trouble-shooting department that will get rid of this problem. It is caused by water temperature being wrong at the start of the cycle.... blah, blah, blah. The representative will tell you to push a certain set of buttons in a certain order and that unlocks the dishwasher.

Sorry I don't know the sequence
