I'm thinking it's either the ignition switch or a fuse.
Try replacing the fuses first...it's easier.
If it's not the fuses feel free to post again and we'll work on the switch,or try alternate ideas.

According to the owners manual an F1 reading indicates a problem in the fuel injection system. The owners manual states that you should take it to the dealer to have it checked out.
The Clymers manual says that there is a certain "mode select switch" you need to recover the trouble code for what the problem is. That part # is 09930-82710. It hooks into a harness plug just behind the steering head covers.
Without knowing what that code is I can't tell you what is wrong with your bike.

remove the two 4mm alen head bolts form the side, theses have lock tight so uses a small hammer to tap while you put preasure on them. a trusted buddy to tap with the hammer. then remove the two forward covers to be able to remove the forward two. and lift the seat from the rear.
