Warning light door adjar wont go off untill automatic door locks.Usually doors lock when first started but as car warms up they dont lock right away sometimes not at all.Locking door manually does not turn off door adjar warning light.I open and shut doors incase they are adjar that dosent seem to work.What could be causing the problem?

Check/adjust the door locks.

You need to remove the door ajar sensors from the doors and clean and lube them. You must remove the interior door panel then remove the door latch. Then twist the switch out of the latch to work on it.

try spraying some wd40 inside the door make shure to get inside the latch there is a sensor there that gets clogged this should solve the problem.

back up to the dealer ?if you didnt have these problems before then get it back and talk to the service manager dont start replacing things that can get expensive sounds like a body control module issue? let them reprogram it first ? if they dont make you happy call factory rep he can help ?

Had a similar problem with my Saturn. Door chime going all the time, the seat belts going up - down - up for no apparent reason.

Turned out to be the switch in the door jamb had become unseated. As it randomly made and broke contact, the cars computer thought the doors were opening and closing, then acted accordingly.

I remounted it with the help of a hot glue gun (plastic mount).

You may have a bad door switch. The alarm is usually wired into the door adjar switch amongst other things. If the alarm system is being told that your door is still adjar due to a bad switch in the door jam then it's quite possible that the alarm system will not operate the locks if it thinks the door is adjar in which is also evident by the dome light staying on. Sounds like a switch. If not the switch then I would lean more towards the alarm system being responsible.

It sounds like there is a short somewhere. Either a bad ground, pinched wire going from the door to the fuse box, or a possibly a bare wire shorting out onto something. You say that the door adjar light and the door locks are affected. Check the door switch and make sure that it isn't broken, shorted out or sticking. Function test it. If you disconnect the door switch and take a test drive does the problem still exists? Yes? Disconnect the other side. Did that cure the problem? Yes? Replace as necessary. No? The problem isn't in your door switch(s). So that much has been ruled out. These are just some areas to start trouble shooting. At first I immediately thought "Door Lock Switch," but when you mentioned that the Door Ajar light keeps going on along with the light then it leads me away from the Controls and more towards the Door light Switch usually in the jam of the door, but you didn't mention the year, make and model, so location of the switch is obscure. If the door locks are switching on and off and the door adjar light is in harmany with it then make sure the door is secure, not loose when closed allowing the door adjar switch to break the connection. These are the areas I would investigate first. Is there a significant amount of slop in the door when you push and pull on the door like it isn't secure? These are some areas to take into consideration when trouble shooting.

Just a possibility, but a discharged battery could be the culprit. Do the headlights come on brightly? Will the horn blow normally? A 'dead' battery will usually have enough power to illuminate LED warning lights, while not having enough current to operate the starter/door solenoids, etc. Have somebody test the battery voltage to be sure.
