Recent OS X installation dvd's have the windows drivers for bootcamp bundled on them, in a special partition that will show up if you insert the disc while you're booted in windows. Install those, and odds are you'll get sound back.

I lost my install disc nr 1 for my iMac, where can I find another one?

Try calling Apple, tell them your Mac OS version and iMac's serial mumber, and ask them for a replacement install disc. They can ship them out to you for a small fee.

Lost password for imac 17 os x leopard 10.5

You need the os X disc.. Boot from the disc But don't install the OS again! Just click through windows far enough until you get the regular set of choices on the menu bar. One of those menus is the ultitiles and one of the choices on that menu is Reset root password..

Installing windows XP

Push and hold "alt" or "option" on start up. It will bring up 2 folders, mac and windows. click mac to go back into that drive. Go to system prefs, then to drives and make your mac you primary drive so it defaults into mac on startup.
