Question about Dishwashers

1 Answer

I have a Belling IDW604 dishwaher just installed in my kitchen. Have only used it a couple of times and have noticed quite a lot of water left in bottom when program has finished. If I then do a quick rinse program the water will disappear. Is everything ok?

There should not be water in the bottom. It's possible it's not draining completely which usually means a clogged hose. It can also be there is something under the screen filter that has blocked the hole. Also, I had installed one that didn't drain completely because the drain hose was not high enough. It should be higher than the dishwasher, and if they installed it under the cabinets and attached to the sink drain, the entry must be above trap. I hope this helps some.

An open element will have voltage present and still not operate. Use an ohm meter to test it.

If you can test the supply voltage to the inlet solenoid it may have failed, if it has voltage as required and it is not letting water in the solenoid it's self will be at fault.

Idw604 error code e4

had same problem. Tilt dishwasher to the left and drain all the water (it will come out on the side). That's E4 solved. Now turn it on, E4 should not light up. If it does, turn it on and as soon as u do this, close the door. This won't activate the Trip Switch but will automatically turn the pump on. Good luck!

Belling idw604

The E3 code is normally related to the overheating of the water during a wash. There is a thermal swith that has a manual reset button mounted on it. The button is normally red in colour and is about 3mm in diameter. REMEMBER TO SWITCH OFF THE POWER BFORE ATTEMPTING ANY REPAIRS. The switch is accessed by removing the silver plate mounted beneath the door. The plate is secured by 2 phillips screws. The switch, black in colour, is mounted to the left and is about 10cm in from the front of the machine. Simply press the red button to reset. This should solve the problem but if the problem persists I suggest you call an engineer.
