Can i use 20pin atx powersupply instead of 24pin, is it compatible to ep-5ela-3i

The 20pin PSU is for use with normal AMD (Athlon XP, Duron, and athlon64) or Intel (p3 and P4) based Motherboards, but the 24 pin ones are specifically for the Intel Xeon chips (used in servers).

Therefore a 20pin PSU connector will NOT work in the 24 pin connection slot.

I suggest you buy a adapter.

You can buy it from:

I have a p4s533-mx motherboard with 1.7ghz intel processor, my system had 1gig pc3200 and 256mb pc400 at 400mhz ddr1 ram, now my system suddenly wont pick up the 1gig ram card, only beeps when powered up...

The RAM modules may not be compatible with each other.
Try using the same make RAM modules.
Try Installing the 1Gb RAM module without the 256Mb RAM module.

Motherboard vc35

Well your motherboard has the form factor UATX. It is a socket 478 for the processor, and has 168 pin dimm sockets for memory

Visit this page and you will find a motherboard that has a socket 478 for you processer, is the correct form factor, but you will need to buy compatible memory. (184 pin ddr 400).

I don't know what this is

It is possible that it will work on a new motherboard as long as the cables connects it to the motherboard matches. On your new mobo you should see pins for for usb and sound to plug to the mobo..most new cases have this though so you shouldnt really need it. However if you want to reuse your case to take advantage of the chip it should fit.

good luck
