I do not see anything in the manual for error code 70 on the mfc 290c model Brother. I keep getting a message to check teh User's Manual for maintenance and trouble shooting. TEh machine is less than 6 months old. It was working fine signaled that the yellow was low - kept printing- i was using black not color. Completed the job and tried to send a new one to the printer and got this message. Already tried install /e install teh cartridges. How do I fix this ? Does it mean that the cartridges need to be changed?

Her'e s a link to the one color not printing message. But I'm not getting any hits on the error code. Is that appearing on your printer or computer? Other links here and here. Try to clear the print queue. If no joy, try resetting the printer by unpluggling both power and data cables for a few minutes, then reconnecting and rebooting.
