I recently installed motorola SBG900. few days later my Nortel Baystack 450-24T switch is dead (port lights flashing non stop). Replaced the swich with a different brand and one week later it is dead. These are not cheap switches. want to know what is going on before adding another switch.
I have been using these swiches for about 2 years with a dsl modem without a glitch.

I'm trying to get all my Macs running "Back to my Mac". But I have the Motorola SBG900. It gives me this error when I try to start Back to my Mac.
Back to my Mac isn't working properly because it requires a router that supports NAT port mapping protocol(NAT-PMP) or Universal plug-n-play (UPnP). Make sure your router supports one of these and that it is enabled.
I've looked all over the page Motorola gave me a link for and it has nothing that helps. Can someone here help, please?

I have recently needed to open up a couple of ports on my SBG900 . Whilst the ports and firewall settings are now working fine, I had a heck of a job setting them up. It seemed as though unless I went into the modem like a Mission Impossible IT ninja and made all the configuration changes in less than about 10 seconds, every time I hit apply, I'd been timed out and returned to the log-in page. If i broke the speed barrier, it was happy and applied the new port configurations. According to my ISP there's no way to extend this window of opportunity - any ideas?
