So it will spin and drain when put in the spin cycle right? More than likely it is your timer if you have to keep manually setting. I would check on timer prices and go from there.

My washer did the same thing and it was the safety switch that determines if the washer lid is closed or not. If you replace the safety switch it will spin and drain again. :)

The lid switch is bad . You can either replace it , or bypass it under the control panel . Try putting a pencil down into the hole on the top where the lid actuator goes into to see if it drains and spins .

Replace the timer.
This is a neutral drain machine. If there is no natural pause in the timer at the end of the rinse cycle the timer is bad.
