I have a pth5498 when u plug it in tv doesn't come on just makes clicking noise no tubes light up or anything just sound and front power light....

There could be many items that can cause that symptom. However I always assume convergence on any rear projection which can easily be checked by unplugging the convergence amp board and then plugging in the set and press power , if the set powers up turn it back off, and you will know the convergence ICs and associated resistors on that board have failed. Although its easier to replace the board unless you have good soldering skills. I am pasting a pic of the board which is suspended above the main chassis just mark the wires then unplug the set from the wall first, but then unplug the wires from that board and then try powering up the set.if you need further assistance , respond to this same post slinteriors_21.jpg

I have a phillips model 60PP9202 that will not power on at all. Is this unit equipped with any fuses?

The fuses are probably good as you can check...The big solution is you have a weak or bad small signal board. About the size of a deck of cards, located in the back on the left hand side, you will see this when you open the back cover. Try this, leave your tv unplugged for a few days or even a week or two. Then plug it in and see if it will come on....if so the answer has been said. Be patient my friend.

50 " Phillips Plasma tv. Screen is black, blinking red light.

Sounds more like blown/exploding capacitors on the PSB-Power Supply board. No OSD-on screen display a blinking led or chatter/relay clikcing at startup is the tv going into fault protection and bypassing the startup pins. The YSUS-Main controls the pic which is attached to 2 buffer boards the YBU-upper YBL-Lower. They control the upper and lower portion of the OSD and the YSUS controls both of them. Since you're getting No OSD you need to check for blown caps on the PSB first. Unplugging the set resets the error again. So you start all over again.

Phillips # 50p8341 comes on everyonce in awhile. Sometimes it wont come on and the power light will start to blink

Hello! Your set needs the board that has the microprocessor on it. It is called the "process pcb" and is located on the left side as you look into the back of your unit {with the back cover off, of course!). It stands straight up and is plugged into the signal (or "tuner"pcb). They cost about $100 and are available from tritronicsinc.com. All you have to do is unplug the board from the connector by pulling it straight up. Then you just plug the new board in. Make sure it seats properly. The board is approximately 4" by 4" square. VERY easy repair...you can do it and save BIG $. Just make sure you do it when the ac is unplugged!!! Good luck!!!
