    Shut it off!.

Make sure the water level is above any water intake lines.

Open the pump housing. When you drained the tub, did you also drain the pump? If so, you may need to prime it by filling it with water manually. Also, are there any valves on the pump itself that need to be closed or redirected from a "draining" posisition to a "filter" posisiton.

You most likly have an airlock. check the pump, it will have a filler spud on the top of the pump chamber, fill it with water before operating the pump. you may have to do it several times before it works. Don't run the pump long without water.

Code so when runs keep shuting off then over heat code so

not too familiar with that brand. If so is error for overheat check filters or run it without. filters could be clogged and is a common cause of overheat error code. Check circulation pump and make sure its working. Also if you recently drained and refilled you could have created a air lock that doesn't allow the pump to move water and its easily fixed by loosening the discharge end of the pump until the air comes out....you will notice it right away

Only hot water makes it to the tub. I can hear cold water running. I can feel it traveling through the hose, but it does not get into the tub. Why (and where is the cold water going)?

hmm...so you're certain that the cold water is actually going in someplace huh? ok, try this...run it like you have it now...put your hand in the water flow and feel how hot or warm it is...now turn off the cold water and see if the hot water gets hotter...if it does, then try the opposite, turn off the hot water and see if there is still water coming into the tub...let me know what happens

Just drained and refilled, plugged back in and hot tub is not heating. Three lights flashing at temp controls. Is there a reset

Most hot tubs have a freeze protection that will lock you out and run the pumps full blast with no heater if the temerature is under 50 degrees F.The circulating pumps create heat until the water temp is above 50 degrees, and then the heater will come on after that.
Hot tubs do this to protect themselves and it is normal operation.

My hot tub was just refilled yesterday and now when the pump comes on the water level lowers. I don't see a leak anywhere

If you are just refilling your spa after having it empty for a time, your shaft seal on the pump motor has dried out and has shrunk making the seal leak. Soon it will drip water into the motor housing and the motor will seize. It is very easy to change a shaft seal. E-mail if you need help

Self priming hot tub pump won't prime

If you have had the tub empty and refilled this could be an air lock and all you may need to do is open the drain valve till you get water out of it. Good luck

H20 error on Coyote Drifter Hot Tub

Air locks are a common occurrence after a drain and refill.
An air pocket gets trapped right in the pump volute, where the impeller is housed. So, the impeller sits in a pocket of air. It will spin there all day long, or until the cows come home, if they ever do? And you will never have water movement.
anyway, what needs to happen, is that air pocket needs to be pushed out of there! And the atmospheric pressure on the water in the tub will be your friend.
If you have isolation valves before and after your equipment, close the valve on the discharge side of the pump. Leave the suction side valve open.
loosen the union a couple of turns, on the discharge side of the pump, or one of the unions at the heater assembly, it doesn't matter which of the three.
You will get water, then the HISS of Air!
Let all the air come out, then water again, for about 3-5 seconds, then tighten. Open the closed valve. Start system. It should take off.
Good luck.

Water temp. reading isn't the the same as the actual water temp. hot tub says heater dry

If you have drained the spa latly and refilled you could have an air lock keeping the heater dry. Simpley find the drain valve under the spa and open it till it run's water. This should help the problem by letting the pressure even in the pipeing and flooding. Good luck.

Hot tub maintenance

there will be the same amount of basic maintenance on either spa. The difference will be in water chemistry. you definitely want an ozone generator on either spa. Both are awesome Mfg of spas. they both have been around since the 1980's
Ozone will keep the water cleaner, fresher smelling and reduce the total amount of traditional chemicals used in any hot tub.
There are many other solutions for taking care of water chemistry out there without using the traditional types.
some are all natural.
