If you are trying to run the printer as a wireless option then it needs to be "Paired" with your pc otherwise you documents could be sent to the next house,

Although the MP470 can print via Bluetooth, it needs an optional Bluetooth Adapter plugged-in to it to be able to do so. (Canon part number BU-20)

Do you have that adapter?

Make sure that you have installed and enabled the bluetooth facility on your PC correctly and have given it a title for the PC ( MyPCTOOTH or something) and a password

According to HP there is a section in the MP470 user guide on Bluetooth pairing, it is a massive download which I undertook but it failed to open

They both need to be in pairing mode and the PC normally generates a request asking if you will allow a pairing

The LCD screen on the printer should show the same message to which you have to type in the password from the PC into the Printer ??.

They then should be on the same wavelength

My computer asks for a key when trying to pair with this speaker.

First, it has to be in pairing mode for the computer to find it. Second, the computer is looking for a response from the speaker. Try pushing the Bluetooth button on the speaker. Also, you may not need to provide a key. Does the computer menu have an option for no key?

My ( brother ) printer is asking for WLAN access point/ router and I'm trying to pair it with my IPhone 4S. Can anyone help?

You can't pair wi-fi to bluetooth, which is what you appear to be attempting. The printer is looking to join a computer network and needs the password for your home wi-fi network. Since your phone is not an access pint, you can;t connect them directly.
After you have the printer on your network, if it supports AirPlay, then you can print from the phone to the printer.

Im trying to put a bluetooth on my phone and it finds it but it says pair and when i click pair , it askes me for a pairing passking key? what is that or what do i do?

Hello, Unless you saved a bluetooth pairing password in the past, this code should be four (0) zeros. Please leave positive feedback if it works out for you. Thanks and Good Luck. =)

Cannot pair samsung alias phone to motorola bluetooth

Hi,it's very easy to pair.

First get one of the phones blue tooth on, and pair with the other phone .
When pairing,it will ask you for password key, you can use any number of your choice, but it has to be a four digit number.(Any four digit number) eg 1234,1111,0000 etc.
Ones you type in the code you want to use for pairing, it wlll ask you on the other phone you are trying to pair to type in that the same code and your done with pairing you, Ones the other phone recognizing the phone you paired it with you can now send data to each other.

If it does not pair immediately, restart the phone and try again.

Good luck.

I am trying to pair my lg Xenon with my Lenovo laptop. Both devices ask for the passcode.. I don't know the passcode is what should I enter?

For initial pairing, you're the one to provide a passcode. So if the system asks you to enter passcode, you will need to enter a code that you will use as this is the enrollment process. Once the passcode went through, the paired devices will be connected and locked to the system unless deleted or removed manually, so make sure to use a generic passcode that you can easily remember so you won't have any problems in the future. Hope this helps!

Lg 8700 can not get to pair with any blue toogh device ,my phone has no other devices added

You Need To Type In A 4 Digit PassCode To Get Through To Another BlueTooth Device. Pairing Bluetooth Phones Is Kind Of Complicated. If You Are Pairing 2 Phones... Here Are The Steps:

1.) Find The Other Phone By Searching For It On BlueTooth

2.) Select The Device/Phone You Want To Pair With

3.) Enter The Last 4 Digits Of The Phone Your Trying To Pair With's Phone Number

4.) The Other Phone Should Be Asked If It Wants To Pair With Your Phone, Say Yes

5.) Type In The Last 4 Digits Again Of The Phone Your Trying To Pair With's Phone Number, Except This Time ON The Phone You Are Trying To Pair With

6.) You Should Get A Paired Successful

Pairing With Any Other BlueTooth Enabled Device:

1.) Search Through BlueTooth For The BlueTooth Enabled Device You Want To Pair To

2.) Select The Device You Want To Pair With

3.) Read The Instruction Manual That Came With The BlueTooth Device You Are Trying To Pair With, You Should Find A Pair Key In There Somewhere

4.) Enter The Passkey You Found (OR Already Know) And You Should Be Ready To Go

If All Else Fails, The BlueTooth Is Obviously Broken On Your Phone... Exchange It For A New One

I am trying to pair my cell phone (VerizonTour) with my PC sony vaio vgc-js 100. my phone finds the pc but then asks for the pc''s numeric passkey. how do i find out what that is?

Your pc doesn't have a numeric pass key. All you have to do is entery any arbitrary number when it asks for the pass key. But you should the remember the number that you entered as the passkey. Once you enter the pass key in the cell phone a similar prompt will appear on the computer asking for a pass key or password or something similar. Just enter the exact same number that you entered in your cell phone. Ofcourse you don't have to do this everytime you connect. Just create a pairing relationship between your pc and your cell phone. Consult the manual of your phone to find out how to do this. This is actually a security feature. It prevents unintentional pairing of two bluetooth enabled devices. It does get kind of annoying at times.

Trying to pair a h12 bluetooth to the 8330, asks for numeric pass key. i have tried 0000 and 1234 it says unable to pair

Is the blackberry in pairing mode? Is the earpiece in pairing mode? They both need to be set. Four zeros should be the passkey.
