Exhaust fan rattles
Take the the fan face off and clean the inside of the fan housing, including the fan blades, being careful not to bend the blades. Check and tighten all housing mounting screws. Tighten the motor mounting screws. Turn the fan on without the fan face on and check for rattles. If the rattle still exists, double check all mounting screws. Replace the fan face and tighten.
You can look at fan closely and see if there is a set screw holding the fan to the shaft. It could be loose causing the rattle. If that is not the problem then see if the shaft has a lot of play in it. It could be worn out and allowing the fan to rattle. If that is the case then replace the fan
