Question about Maytag MDG7600AW Gas Dryer
The dryer will come on a heat, but will not continue to re heat as it needs to. There is a sound of a soliniod trying to let the burner ignite, but no flame. The igniter works, but no flame after first flame on. If it cools an hour or so it will start to work, but then will fail to reheat
Hi, You will need to change the coils on top of the gas valve. Remove the screws on each side of the door opening and the fron panel will release. The door will hange there on the hinges. The two black doils on the gas valve will work early in the cycle and then after they get hot, they will not open later in the cycle.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
