Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players
My Yamaha DVD-C920 won't play audio or video discs. After attempting to read the disc the player displays an H02 code. I cant find any reference to that code in the owners manual
SOURCE: No Picture
i think this means it is dying. mine started to skip and then promptly stopped reading the disks too. i was told it may be the optical lense and it may be better to buy a new one than have it fixed. my problem now is that i can't find a replacement that is not upconvert (i see no difference in the component cables vs. hdmi). i am sad to lose this player. love it.

it sounds like the unit needs its dvd loader or laser ***'y replaced. try cleaning the laser with a soft cotton bud first, if that doesnt work, replace thae loader assy.

SOURCE: Code H02
Your DVD player is having an issue with the spindle motor (the thing that spins the DVD around). The following solution works for most people, and you should only have to do this once.

SOURCE: ERROR H02
Spindle motor in DVD mechanism require replacement, not practical to repair, just buy new one, upconverting DVD player would cost you less then repair of your old one.
