Question about Ventamatic Direct Drive Whole House Fan With Univer
Just started to happen - while running after 5-10 minutes the unit justs stops working. 30" whole house fan. After a period of time I can turn it back on. Never had a problem with this before and it has enough air flow, been using it for 4 years. Is there a capacitor or something on the side of the motor that needs replacing? It seemed that the belt was a little loose so i tightened the belt slightly. This did not work. It sounded like the motor struggled when turning power on as well when I was upstairs listening... If motor is bad, how much would replacement costs run?
Tightened the belt, lubed the fan and it seemed to work intermitantly.... Still ahving ussues..
