Why can't I use the attachments to clean my couch?

You may want to check for a pinched hose. Unwind the hose completely and lay it out and try your sprayer again. If that doesn't work than try reseating the tank (turn the unit off, remove the tank and then replace it, wait 1 minute and turn the unit back on.) AND, if you haven't been cleaning the filters now would be a good time to do that. In the tank there is a lint filter on the lid and there is another filter under the flow indicator (turn flow indicator cap counter-clock wise, remove rotor, remove filter. clean filter and replace everything in reverse manner. Hope that helps. If not Bissell Consumer Care number is 1-800-237-7691.

To clean the washable filters you need few things like a stool, screwdriver, brush for cleaning, vacuum with attachments and running water. Cleaning the air filters regularly will keep you away from different type of allergies which are caused by fungi, molds and bacteria.

Display gets off after 5 minutes

Hello
The check the air filter. Clean it first. Turn the power OFF and unplug the device from AC mains. Draw out the air filter cover and remove it. Remove the air filter. Wash the air filter with mild dtergent solution and dry it in a shaded place. Attach the air filter back to device, so that it fits into the each claws on the air filter cover and replace the cover.
If you neglect to clean the air filter, dust may accumulate, clogging it. As a result, temperature may arise inside the unit leading to a possible malfunction. Be sure to attach the aif filter cover firmly. "Power cannot be turned ON" if it is not closed securely.
The air filter will have a face and a reverse side. Place the air filter, so that it fits on a notch on the air filter cover.
If this doesn't help you, check the cooling fan. If fan speed is reduced, proper air circulation will not be ther, as a result the inside of the unit will overheat causing malfunctions, which has not been described anywhere in its manual. If needy, replace the fan. The final possible cause for this fault is with its Lamp itself. Confirm it before replacing, by doing all the above porcedure. OK.

Our Brookstone air purifier sounds like a bug zapper in spite of cleaning filter. It's less than a year old. What is the problem?

have you cleaned the connections where the filter connects . There is prob dust and dirt down inside the filter , keeping it from making a good connection. The zapping sound is from the electricty jumping the gap. A good cleaning of the inside should help. Try attaching a small hose to your vac to fit down inside the unit. give the electrical connections a good cleaning . If that dosen't work take unit apart and wipe down with alchol that you can buy at any drugstore

Need to know how to clean the front part where the filter is and is it a good idea to take the top off where the air blows out and vaccum in that? what is that exactly - looks like a roller. (someone...

Yes, it's an excellent idea to remove front of the unit and clean it. Clean the filter too, while you're at it. You can use a vacuum that has a hose and brush attachment to clean the front. If it's really diety use warm water and mild dish washing liquid to wipe the front and back of the front off. Rinse and dry thoroughly. The "roller" thing, is a squirrel cage blower. You can vacuum that, too. But, before you do anything ... Turn the unit OFF and unplug it.

To remove the front, do it the same way you do, when you take the filter out for cleaning.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Heater starts and runs for several minutes and then turns off

Since the unit runs for a couple minutes, I would first check for proper water flow. Find the pressure switch. It is usually round with two wire terminals and a copper/metal tube attached to it. With the wires attached, use a jumper wire to bypass the switch. If it runs longer check for flow problems.. (WARNING don't jump the switch for too long!!! Just enough time to see if the run cycle improves). Clean all the skimmers baskets, pump basket, backwash the filter (if a cartridge filter clean the filters). Try firing the heater again. If it still shuts down, replace the pressure switch. I never recommend adjusting it. Adjusting it too low can damage your heater and/or cause injury.

Daikin a/c FDY100LVIR N81. installed in suspended ceiling approx 2 mtrs. away from ceiling filter inlet. No filter pad provided for this inlet?. Told to attach a piece of wire to end of unit to withdraw...

Is this a new unit? Lots of units now come with no filter slot. I'm assuming this is above an acoustic tile ceiling. 24x48??? You need to have a 24×24 filter back return grill that lays in the ceiling. That way you change the filter by standing on a ladder. I'm a little confused about the wire thing but, the installer should have thought about how the return air was being filtered BUT, technically not their "responsibility." I'm guessing above the ceiling there is no duct attached to the return side of the unit??? If this were my unit I would buy a filter rack and have it attached to the unit and have my filters the unit. I'm assuming this is a business so what about your fresh air intake?? What filters that??? You need a filter AT THE UNIT. Not attached to a wire or whatever some i*^*t suggested. Hire professionals with credentials capable of doing the job right the first time!

No air pressure to **** up dirt

First test suction on unit without the hose, is there suction? If yes, attach hose and test. If no go to the door to outside, attach hose to the top of unit where it blows (under handle on top), put hose out door and turn on. The stuff clogging the hose should blow out the end.

If it wasn't the hose check the wand, and then the power nozzle and using the above to clear obstruction.

Can't find the filter

Power off the mains, plug off. The filter is located behind the silver plate at the back of the machine at the bottom. Four screws hold it on. Drain out all the water. The filter is inside the big black rubber hose attached between the pump and the main drum. Remove the plastic clip holding it to the pump unit and then the metal cir clip holding it to the main drum. Inside is a white molded cone and a big white ball which floats in side. You will find a lot of junk here, clean out thoroughly. To refit put white cone back inside just as you found it, at the bottom, fit ball back into the cone. Attach to the bottom to the drum and re-fasten the cir clip. Finally reconnect the gator to the pump unit and tighten the plastic clip.
