Need help wih dehumidifier Kenmore model#2519970180000451

well first ive never read in any manual that tells the homeowner to remove cover on any apliance , in fact the only cleaning ive ever read is clean the filter , this is right in front on side and slides right out and can be washed in sink with soap and water (do not scrub) but yes cleaning the condenser coils will require you to remove cover this is purposly made somewhat a challenge to discourage homeowners from hurting them selfs as there are live electrical parts and sharp edges inside , i sugest a qualified appliance repairman be contracted to have a look

Cleaning Air Conditioner Condenser Coil with Pictures

The most important Air Conditioning maintenance that needs to be done every year is the cleaning of the condenser coil. Doing the job of cleaning the A/C coil is the best way to make sure that your air conditioning system is working efficiently and giving you the best performance possible.

The tools needed to do the air conditioner condenser coil cleaning will be:

Garden hose with nozzle
Garden pump sprayer
Condenser coil cleaner (can be purchased at HVAC Supply houses, or many hardware type stores)
Hand tools needed to remove condenser fan

To do the job correctly you will need to first turn off the power to the unit and remove the condenser fan.

Once the condenser fan is removed then, you should wet down the condenser fins with a garden hose. Use nozzle that will give you a high volume spray but not with high pressure. Too much pressure will bend the fragile fins and cause them to shut off the ability of the air to flow through them, this is want you want to avoid. You want it to be as easy as possible for the air to get through the fins, for the best possible heat exchange.

After wetting the fins, you then will need to spray the fins inside and out with a foaming coil cleaner. Make sure to wear eye protection and hand protection. If you have sensitive skin, you may also want to wear long sleeves to protect exposed skin. I buy it in a concentrated formula then dilute it with water to the proper working formula. You may need to go over the fins a couple of times with the coil cleaner to get it worked into the fins. Allow the coil cleaner time to work the dirt loose and boil it out of the fins.

After about fifteen minutes start to rinse the coils with fresh water. This will take a long time and lots of water to fully rinse the coil cleaner from the fins. It also is very important that you get everything rinsed fully. Failure to do this will result in excessive dirt accumulation and also can cause corrosion. Make sure that the water is running clear and that all bubbles are gone before stopping your rinse.

Then reassemble the condenser fan, turn on the power, and check the operation of the unit. It is okay to run the unit immediately after washing it. The water will not hurt the unit.

You now will have an Air Conditioning unit that will give you the best possible performance!

Frgidaire dehumidifyer runs but coils do not get cold

the condenser is probably clogged with dust thus restricting the air flow required to cool it down. if it has a filter on the front, take it out and clean it. if it does not, try to remove the front cover and, using a stiff bristled brush and simple green, clean the fins on the condenser then hose it down. if there, then, is no air flow, check the fan. replace if necessary.

The ice cube indicator is blinking

From the manual:

The Control Center monitors refrigerator and

freezer temperatures as well as the ice maker

system. If there is a temperature or ice maker

problem, you'll be alerted by a flashing

SERVICE indicator light. This same SERVICE

light will also flash if the condenser needs

cleaning. Before calling for service, please

check and see if your condenser area needs

cleaning. Refer to Condenser Cleaning,
page 22.

CONDENSER CLEANING

In all Built-In models, the condenser is located

behind the grille. First, remove the grille. Then

using a soft bristle brush, vacuum to remove

dust and lint from the condenser. NOTE: To

avoid bending the condenser fins, be sure to

vacuum in the direction of the fins (up and

down). Clean the condenser area every three

to six months.

CAUTION

Before cleaning the unit, shut the electricity

off at the control panel. When you

clean the condenser, wear gloves to avoid

injury from the sharp condenser fins.

Failure to clean the condenser could

result in temperature loss or mechanical
failure or damage.

My side by side roper wont cool

The condenser fins may need to be clean. Provided that everything else is okay, consider cleaning the condenser with a long flat brush and blow the fins with compressed air to dislodge all traces of lint. Then, you should big improvement.

The freezer is about 65% cold - the ice cream is melted but the ice cube trays have not. The fridge is about 50% cold, no food has spoiled yet. What is causing the problem?

Clean the condenser fins. Lint build up in the condenser fins is inhibiting heat transfer. Just clean the condenser very well and that might solve your cooling problem.

What is involved in cleaning the compressors on commmercial reach-in coolers?

the compressor itself can be cleaned with any mild cleaner/degreaser and a rag (the fins are aluminum and the tubing is copper, so no heavy-duty cleaners). if you mean the condenser (coils), compressed air works best. if the pressure is too high or the hose nozzle too close, the fins will bend, so be careful. if the dust/dirt/obstructions are really coated on the fins, there are cleaners that you can spray on. as long as you know can clean what's behind it and can soak up the puddles, you can spray simple green, let it set for a little, then use the air hose to blow it out. you can use a fin comb to straighten out the bent fins. for the evaporator fins, just use air.

Pressure keeps dropping on my jaguar boiler, no leaks in house but hot water coming from overflow outside

hi In most air-conditioning systems, the condenser unit is located outside the house and is prone to accumulate dirt and debris from trees, lawn mowing, and airborne dust. The condenser has a fan that moves air across the condenser coil. You must clean the coil on the intake side, so, before you turn off the power to the air conditioner, check to see which direction the air moves across the coils. Here's how to clean the condenser:
Step 1: Cut down any grass, weeds, or vines that have grown around condenser unit; they could be obstructing airflow.

Step 2: Clean condenser with commercial coil cleaner, available at refrigerator supply stores. Instructions for use are included. Flush coil clean (do not use hose); let dry.
Step 3: Clean fins with soft brush to remove accumulated dirt. You may have to remove protective grille to reach them. Do not clean fins with garden hose, as water could turn dirt into mud and compact it between fins. Clean fins very carefully: They're made of light-gauge aluminum and are easily damaged. If fins are bent, straighten them with fin comb, sold at most appliance parts stores. A fin comb is designed to slide into spaces between fins. Use it carefully to avoid damaging fins.Step 4: Check concrete pad on which condenser rests to make sure it's level. Set carpenters' level front to back and side to side on top of unit. If pad has settled, lift pad with pry bar or piece of 2-by-4, then force gravel or rocks under concrete to level it.
