Question about Frigidaire 24 in. FDB1050REC Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher
Frigidaire FDB1050REB2 dishwasher. Blinking wash indicator light when trying to start the wash cycle. Start/Cancel clears the light, but the same happens if I press the Start/Cancel button again. If the 12-pin connector to the control board is unplugged and plugged back in the washer will start if the Start/Cancel button is press. After one wash cycle the problem returns. Wiring connections appear to be sound.

your problem is most likely the aluminum wiring. Begin by running a copper line to your dishwasher eliminating the aluminum. use Romex Building Wire, NM-B 12/2 with ground and a 20 Amp circuit breaker

Here is what happened, you pulled the door open without pressing cancel and allowing it to pump the water out, hence the "flooding in the bottom". This is just one reason why it maybe blinking, there is a water sensor in the bottom. If your dishwasher is hooked up properly to any decent garbage disposal, run the disposal for about 30 seconds to a minute. This should pump the water out, more like activate a light siphoning affect. It should work as normal. If you are not having luck with that, detach the DW drain get it low and let it siphon.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello FJ, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that your Frigidaire dishwasher is not working and all it does is flash the "washing" light. It sounds like a possible problem with your keypad or control panel. I would suggest performing a reset on your dishwasher and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for at least ten minutes. If that does not correct your issue I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you from purchasing unnecessary parts. -Matt

I appreciate your post, friend!
I understand that the clean, wash, and dry buttons on your Frigidaire dishwasher are blinking along with the four LED light. This appears to be a delay start cycle. I would recommend pressing the cancel button. If that does not clear the lights you can perform a reset and to do that you would need to disconnect power from the dishwasher for roughly ten minutes. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Hello - Try resetting the dishwasher by disconnecting the power to the unit. This will clear most flashing lights. You can disconnect power by flipping the circuit house breaker off and back on for approximately two minutes. If this does not prove to be successful, contact a professional to move forward accurately. Dishwasher could possibly have a faulty control board or wiring failure.
