Their manual says to clean the air filter. Unplug the unit (I suggest for aleast 1 full min.), and then plug back in. This is supposed to reset the unit.

Check out this web site as it should show the manual for your unit.

Red power light flashes on an LG 8000BTU AC

Called LG. It's an alarm that's preset on your unit to chime at regular intervals (300-500 running hours) to remind you to clean your filter. Turn the unit off, unplug it, wait a few minutes, and turn it back on. All done.

Have lost my manual for the designer 12000. can't tell what each button does-

Here is a link to what I believe is the Owner's Manual for your unit. You didn't mention the Model Number, so I all I had to go on was the BTU Output and the color. Never the less, all Danby Portable AC Units work the same way.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

How to install

The large bracket will go on top, with the taller part of the bracket facing the front. The small bracket will connect to the bottom of the unit. There should also be 2 brackets that go on the side with accordion style covers to cover the side of the unit.
