INTERIOR LIGHT STAYS ON AND NEW LOAD OF WASH WILL NOT START

Hello
We own a LG WM2487H*M and after a year or so our light will not go out after a wash....should stay on 4 minutes. The next load of wash can not be started until the wall power plug is pulled and plugged back in. Everything else works great....any ideas on what went out and the best way to fix the problem?
Thanks,Bruce

Confirm that the door shuts properly the Door Switch button.

- Check for 120 vac between the power cord neutral (white wire no. 13) and the Push to Start Switch (gray wire no. 26) only the Door Switch button is pressed in.

- Check the wiring at the Door Switch and Push to Start Switch.

- Replace the Door Switch.

- Check for 120 vac between the power cord neutral (white wire no. 13) and the Machine Control (black wire no. 27) on the relay COM terminal only when the Door Switch button is pressed in and the push to start button is pressed in. Water wont load why I put the machine on wash sometime it let water in at the start but then wont continue adding water to finnish the wash

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

The problem seems to be with the water inlet valve that has gone bad and needs replacement. Before replacing the valve try swapping the connections and clean the inlet valve. If the valve is fine then the problem is with the pressure switch that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My LG WM2487H has water in the detergent cup at the end of the wash. It has happened twice now.

This is normal.
All LG washers use a siphon system to dispense soap, bleach and fabric softner.
Some times water will remain in the cups depending on the cycle used.

LG WM2487H*M Drum light stays lit after each load is completed

Solution. Unplug the machine. Hold the power button for 10 seconds. Plug back in. Push the power button and the washer should turn on. Walk away leaving the machine on. When I did this, I came back to find the drum light off and machine would start on command now. Good luck.
