Question about Cell Phones

Simply can't register any of my 4 handsets with my BT Synergy 4100 cordless phone. All handsets indicate base is "unavailable" there isn't a fault on the line as I have tested it and I have gone over and over the instructions and it still won't work!

I'm sure you have tried re-registering, as suggested. My 4 handsets have all worked all right for a year or so but are now all indicating that there is no reception from the base. The phone line is fine, and the base mains light is on, but none of the handsets will (re)register to the base. (It was Base 1, and, although I have only one, I have tried 2-4 as well.) I have unplugged the base, waited, and plugged it in again, but no good. I would try restoring default settings, but that involves communicating with the base! I think I will have to try replacing the base, as that will cost a lot less than a complete new (different!) model.

Partial solution. The handsets may be registered to another base.

So go into handset setting, then select base, (select another base if there is one showing).

Then go through the handset registration procedure again.

Why does my Phone handset says no link to base please check base?

Charge handset

Make sure there are not other signals interfering with the phone (wifi router).

Check to see if base and handset are on the same channel.

Base unit on bt synergy 3505 keeps beeping and handset keeps displaying base 1 and losing signal.... intermitent fault....have changed batteries in handset and switched unit on and off but still not...

If the handset displays 'Searching', 'Base' or 'Range out' on the screen, this indicates that the handset has lost its link with the base. The following procedure should be followed to help resolve the problem:
  • Confirm that the power lead has not been inadvertently disconnected from the base.
  • Ensure that the handset batteries are correctly installed and are fully charged.
  • Ensure that the handset and base are within range of each other.
  • Switch the mains power off, wait five seconds and then turn it on again. This will reset your product.
  • Carry out a reset procedure on both the handset and the base to return the settings back to the factory default. Your user guide will guide you through the correct procedure.
  • If none of the above remedies solve your problem, please contact the helpdesk.

1. Disconnect the battery on the handset.
2. Wait 1 minute and reconnect.
3. Register handset.

I have a GE 25922 5.6GHz cordless phone. It has 3 receiver. 1 of the receiver all ways says unavailble and it does not ring or can't call out. Can you help me with phone? Thank you, Sai.

UNAVAILABLE Indicates the handset is out of range. Or an additional handset is in use. Or there has been a base power failure, in which case you must place all handsets on the main base cradle for 20 seconds to re-register.

If the second handset works ok on the base and the first handset doesn't, then you are right...the fault lies with the first handset. There are batteries ( special type ) in the handset, it sound as if either the batteries are dead, or not charged ( try charging them for 12 hours on the good base station ) or the connection is bad.
