Is there an off / on switch on the split system air conditioner gse9gkr unit

If you do not want your condenser to run all you need to do is go to unit or t-stat and remove Y wire nut it and it will not send 24 V TO YOUR CONDENSING UNIT.

I need a wiring diagram for a starndard residential split a/c system. Just the outdoor section is fine.

Hi, if this is just a split standard heating and cooling unit, and not a split heat pump, all you need to do is pull stat wire from the indoor unit control board to control the condenser with 5 conductors, but you will only use 2 wires for the control of the condenser. Normally, the red and white tie to the 2 control wires of the contactor. Back at the control board, red to red and white to the Y or yellow terminal. You will also need to set your disconnect box for your high voltage near the condenser, where you will be coming from your breaker to supply high voltage to run the motors and compressor. Very easy to do. If it is a heat-pump, you will need to pull at least 8 conductor thermostat wire to wire this up. I would also need to know what terminals and kind of thermostat you have, and if you are using heat strips for second stage of heat. When you say standard unit, you will only need 2 control wires from the indoor to the outdoor unit, along with the high voltage. Please keep me posted and let me know if you need more help on this. A wiring schematic wouldn't be needed if its just a standard condenser.
Sincerely,

AMCOR 24,000 BTU split system. Worked fine two years, then today it had no power. Checked circuit breaker, it had popped. Reset CB and went to inside unit - would not turn on or off with remote or hard...

I had this same problem. I disconnected the thermostat wire out side at the condenser and reconnected it and it started working. A couple days later it blew the breaker again this time I found the bus where the L1, L2. GR wire connect at the condenser had melted. I wire nutted all 3 wires instead of the using the bus everything is working right again. Hope this helps.

Why the condenser is still running when the split

If the thermostat is turned to off and the auto/manual
fan is turned off, nothing should be operating.
Turn power off to indoor unit, remove either the Red-
R terminals on control board or the wire going to the
terminal marked Y- which is used for cooling.

If you remove the red wire, put cover back on and restore power and the ubit shuts off, you have a
problem with the thermostat or thermostat wires the
wires that go to those to terminals need to be traced to make sure they are not touching.

If removing the Red wire does not stop condenser
from operating. Leave the unit on, go outside and
pull the disconnect, the unit will have to shut off.

That might tell me to look for a contactor that is
defective. If the contactor is still pulled in when you
turn off power, remove either the red or white low voltage wire, if the contactor releases than you have a problem with the low voltage wires going from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit

Unit fails to start

Make sure that you have selected the correct mode setting. If this is correct. You may need to replace the capacitor inside the outdoor unit (condenser). Open outdoor unit, usually removing the top cover (four or five screws) Make sure you have turned off all power to the unit. Locate the capacitor which is a cylindrical looking object with some spade lugs on one end. Take a snap photo so that you can remember how the wires are connected. Remove as a sample and buy a replacement and fit.

Installation manual required for teco split aircondtioner. Reverse cycle LS0909Y. I have operation manual but not sure how to install and wire up. Many thanks.

Is the unit an AC only or a heat pump?
Wiring to the units should in the manual or online.
Both units proper house voltage to inside unit and outside unit. There will also be a two wire low voltage cable between thr two. This is so the inside unit can turn on the higher current draw of the compressor in the outside condenser unit thru it's relay. If you have a heat pump there will also be a set of two wires to the 4 way gas valve in the condenser unit to change from heating to cooling mode,a set of two wires to control the on/off function of the fan in the condenser unit when it needs to defrost and mayby a two wire set to a themal sensor in the condenser to sense if it is frosting up when system is in heat mode.
Try to get a wiring diagram and if you can't get to the point where you understand how to wire the unit don't guess! Call someone who knows wiring or call a pro, he can you money over the cost of replacing parts if unit is miswired.

GOODMAN MODEL CKJ30-1A

I think you mean compressor rather than condenser. Take the panel that covers the controls off the unit. If the clicking noise is the contacter, and it is engaging when the power is turned on, then follow the wires to the compressor, remove the little plastic cover and look for wires that are burnt or otherwise not making contact with the compressor terminals. If the wires are good and you have a volt meter, set it to ohms, TURN OFF THE POWER, remove the wires on the compressor. (remember where C,S,R, goes) touch the meter to any 2 terminals on the compressor. They all 3 should have continuity to each other. No continuity=new compressor. If the contacter is not making the clicking noise when the power is turned on, then you have another problem that I'll need more info. to help.
