Question about Garmin StreetPilot c550 GPS Receiver

1 Answer

Touch-screen mishaps I just got the receiver so I don't know if it would have ever been right, but the lower area of the screen will not recognize touch commands. For example, when you hit the lowest button on the screen what responds is up and to the right of where I touched. Could this be a calibration problem?

Yes, this is a calibration problem. In order to correct this, turn the unit off. Press and hold the power button for a minute and the calibration screen should come up. Follow the on screen directions. If you cannot get this to work, you can try resetting the unit by removing the front cover, and pressing the reset button on the front right of the unit. This should help.

Can I mute or lower the volume on my nuvi 265T without going to the main menu?

If you go to the screen that shows WHERE TO and VIEW MAP there's a speaker icon in the bottom right corner. You touch the speaker and it brings you to the screen where you can adjust the volume or mute it. I don't know if that's what you mean by the main menu but I'm afraid it's the shortest way to adjusting the volume.
