SOURCE: Start up problem with Samsung Sync Master 731BF 17" monitor

Hello,

Your internal power supply is failing. There are parts called capacitors that are not functioning correctly and this causes the power supply to not be able too stabilize the voltages that run the monitor. After repeated power cycles the capacitors will hold enough charge to function until you urn the unit off and then they discharge so you have to start all over again. We have a step by step repair guide article posted at: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/samsung-204b-lcd-monitor-repair/ This should get you back going again. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service, you can get that information here: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/service-request-form/

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

SOURCE: On every start up, my Samsung screen

Hello,

The slow startup is an indication that your power supply board i failing. The board tries to power up but the voltages are not stable so it shuts down and retries over and over until they do level out and you get a picture. This will get worse until it dies all the way and you get no power at all. The repair involves replaceing a few parts on the board. If you can solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself. We have an article posted here that shows what needs to be done: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/service-request-form/ The 731 uses the same power supply board as the 720. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service, here is more information on that: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/service-request-form/

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

SOURCE: Screen don't work when plugged in

Open it up and look at the capacitors. The round "tin can" looking components. If the tops appear bulged, then replacing them may help. Check out the YouTube video... and web site...

My samsung sync master 151 -s screen is completely black, The rest of the pc opereates fine. The screen was working fine, then left to idle for a few hours now it appears really dark.

Try turning off the power to the monitor and the computer, check all the cables and power it all back up again. If the monitor is still black, try plugging it into another computer or into a laptop and see if it works there. If it does work, then the problem is the video card in the computer. If it is built into the mother board, then you can disable it in the bios setup and buy a PCI or AGP video card on eBay to plug into *********** board.

The screen flick when connected to Samsing Sync

Hello there!

Screen flickering can be caused by instability of cable you are using, or it can be also caused by difference between power input, so check your power plug ,where your monitor and pc are plugged, make sure they are ok for your region, and check those cabels. Also check settings on monitor for what input you are using DVI or VGA or both at the same time.

My syncmaster 245 bw will only display a blank screen through the dvi port. Another crt monitor works fine through the vga port . I'm running a nVidia 7800 GS video card.

You need to adjust the monitor refresh rate to 60 Hertz or 70 Hertz.
Use the CRT first to adjust it, then after adjust, plug in your Sync Master to see is it perfect or not, find the best frequency that work best.

To adjust it,right click on the screen, enter properties, then click setting tab.
Then in advanced tab, click it then you see the monitor tab, find the perfect screen refresh rate.
