Question about Mitsubishi WD-62725 62" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

Have a Mitsubishi WD-62725 that stated on the bottom of the screen the unit would be shutting down because it was getting hot. Check the filter. The unit shut down and after I checked the filter on the side and the rear fan to ensure it was clean I turn the T.V. bcak on. I now have a blinking yellow/amber status light. Tried to to reset the T.V. but no luck. What do you think.

Have you tried to access the self diagnosis feature to see if it will blink a two didgit error code/ Usually when a set says its going to shut down its due to the thermal fuse or the fans.

Check air filter on side, clean and make sure the door is seated right, if not then you will need to have tv serviced, probably internal fan issue.

New bulb/TV still shuts down

Its far more likely the result of the power pwb capacitors that have failed. As the 34 code will appear if the capacitors fail on the Power PWB. You can get the V26 DLP Power repair kit at the following link.with free instructions

Tv won't turn on?

Your main boards are bad. The FMT, DM, & Power Supply. They are no longer available, You have to have the chasis rebuilt. Mitsubishi is rebuilding these chasis. You have to pull it without any cut wires & ship to Georgia.
