Hi, I have a John Deere F620 zero turn mower. It ran great no issues what so ever. I noticed the belt on the mower that wraps around the pulleys I guess like the serpentine belt that turns everything all the pumps and such looked a little worn. I took the deck off and replaced the belt and now the mower will barely move. It just wont hardly do anything. The engine sounds good, I checked the hydraulic oil and it was good. I dont know what to do. I even tried putting the old belt back on. Please help.

You probably have sheared the safety pin in your pulley drive. To change you have to take the pulley off. Try turning the pulley by hand If it turns free you did shear the pin.. Take spark plug wire off before so you do not hurt yourself. Safety first.

if you dont use kevlar belts, then you are wasting money, they cost more, but, they last ten times longer, use the widest width that it can handle, dont buy from jd,it will cost you 100.00,go to ebay, etc, your tensioner should not be tight enoughto stretch the belt also, here is a jd belt, you can get cheaper just make sure it looks green or red,not rubber black, JOHN DEERE oem Mule Drive Belt TCU13195 737 757 Trak below 030000
Hi, it sounds like you have the wrong belt (if it new one) orvery worn if it is used. Also check the spindles for damage because if you have hit anything with the blades it may crack the housings which put the pulleys out of sync. If you have hit something or there is damage , you may have bent the deck which moves the pulley off sync too.solutions would be a new belt or spindle or even deck. Take it to your local John Deere Dealer for further advice. regards, Baz
this problem is related to the auto-snesing carburator. If you wrap the throttle cable, that runs down the left side of the mower, around the handle several times and tie wrap in place the mower will run. I had the same issue with mine. the manual is vague at best when it describes how to fix. After you wrap the cable around the handle, it will tighten the cable and the mower will run.
Remember the belt rule, V of the belt goes in V pulleys.Flat pulleys that are stationary or move get the back of the belt. You can figure it out. Its not rocket science. Remember at some point there has to be a tensioner, usually gets the back of the belt if its a flat pulley. U may have to remove the spring and then reattach the spring after the belt is routed.
