Question about Dryers
This can vary from dryer to dryer, but most are basic, with slight variations of this set-up. The belt goes around the drum and around a pulley on the motor shaft. It then routes thru a tensioning device, usually between the motor pulley and the drum on the bottom. The drum is held in place front and rear by the cabinet itself. You will have to remove the front panel to get the belt around the drum. In order to remove the front panel (door panel) you will have to detach the top. It is usually held in place by a couple of screws in the rear, then you can bump it forward and pull up. You will then notice how the front is attached. Be careful to replace the drum (exactly) as it is or it will not turn properly.
