How to get off of current settings to default setting

Our pixma mp 180 printer is printing color photos at about 50% of what the color should be. when I go to profile in the printer options box there are two options for color: default and current. The default setting says 'auto' the currents settings lists all the colors at 50. I want to change back to the default settings. We have done everything we can thing of: changed ink cartridges, uninstalled and reinstalled the software. No change. Cna you help?

Scanner image is askew

Base on your explainination it seems like, this is because of your setting in MP Navigator, the image may not be scanned properly. In such a case, it is necessary to match the settings in MP Navigator to the document. please do the following. 1) Match the type of the document on the platen glass to the document type set in MP Navigator. For example, when scanning a color photo, select Color Photo in Document Type of MP Navigator. 2) Match the size of the document on the platen glass to the document size in MP Navigator. For example, when the document size is A4, select A4 in Document Size of MP Navigator. (Memo) Auto Detect is set in Document Size as the default.

Can not get printer to print in black and white

Hi, May be you printer had been set auto color. To set it manually, go to printer setup in your computer. Select you file you wish to print the click print. On pop up printer set up you should see Canon MP 210 series printer. Then Click properties, you can see now the printer options like media, quality, paper source, color, greysacle and priview. Click greyscale to get monochrome printing.click Ok and Ok again. You should get a black white ( BW) printing result. In addition, to duplicate the file to get hard copies from your printer press Black button before do copying to get non color hard copy.

My computer was printing lines within color images. I tried to manually adjust the colored ink. That made things worse. How do I reset the printer back to default auto settings?

start>control panel>printers
select the IP3200 printer
select display printer queue
select IP3200 printer
select printer>properties>printer preferences>defaults>apply
This should set your printer back to the default settings.

I want to use black ink only and stop wasting color ink

Hi,
Go to Control Panel->Printers. Then right click on your printer and select printing preferences. There you will see an option like Print in Grayscale or Black and White only.
However, please note that some printers although they are set to print in grayscale they also use the color cartridge and some even don't allow you to print in grayscale if the color cartridge is empty. Why is that? Manufacturer's way of charging you more money.

Printer grabs multiple pages to print one. Prints in mostly green for color copies.

Go into the printer setup menu and change the paper type to default. If your using Microsoft Word, go to 'File" > "Printer">"Properties" , and change to "plain paper" or default.

The problem sounds like the printer is set to print photos which is a heavy paper type. The printer needs to be set for a standard weight paper.
