Question about Computers & Internet
The slot is accesible by removing the entire black bottom of the laptop (a bad design issue, btw), so the best you can do (if you havn't solved this yet), is to take the laptop to a suitable place that not just sells the DDR memory, but where they can also install it, and, if you condition your buying the memory to having it installed on the laptop, they will probably do it for the same price, after all, they want to sell!, or at the most, they'll do it for a few extra dollars, which will save you from the teddious (ans risky) task of disassembling it yourself. You can also request a quote for repairing the damaged slot, maybe it's not too expensive. Good luck! Richard.

Bad news is that you need to remove the keyboard from your laptop to get to the memory slot. Have you looked at the bottom of the laptop to see whether there is a port to the memory under there? Memory usually is much more easily reachable than to go through the keyboard first.
