Director Player Error Try Free

First Time Setup: 1. Connect the power supply to the ScreenPlay Director and an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or power outlet. 2. Press the power button on the front of the ScreenPlay Director to turn it on. 3. Turn on your TV and change the input setting as needed to receive input from the ScreenPlay Director. 4. When the ScreenPlay Director setup wizard appears on the TV screen, select your language and the TV screen aspect ratio, then configure your network connection. Refer to the user's manual if you need additional instructions. NOTE: If you wish to skip the network configuration during first time setup, you can add it at a later time using Settings from the ScreenPlay Director home menu. After installing (MS IE 7 or MS IE 8) browser on the computer that is connected to the HP product,This issue occurs on some HP products. The MS IE 7 or 8 browsers might be incompatible with HP Director
Follow these steps to use a workaround to open HP Director each time you use the software. These steps must be repeated each time you use HP Director.  

1-Open HP Director using one of the following methods:
From the desktop : On your computer's desktop, look for the HP Director icon ( ), and then double-click it. 
From the Windows taskbar : Click Start , click All Programs , click the HP or Hewlett-Packard folder, and then click HP Director .
Although HP Director does not appear to be open , it is open and loaded into the computer's memory, but it does not open in a new window as usual.
2-Without navigating to another open window, press Alt and Space bar at the same time. 
The Shortcut menu displays near the top-left corner of the computer.

If the Shortcut menu does not open, repeat steps 1 and 2 until it does.
3-Select Minimize from the Shortcut menu. 
HP Director displays (minimizes) as an item on the taskbar (the row of open software programs that appears at the bottom of the desktop screen).
If HP Director does not minimize, click Minimize again until it does.
4-Click the HP Director icon on the taskbar ( ). The software opens and functions normally. NOTE: The HP Director window and icons might appear larger than normal, but the software is functional.

5-Repeat Steps 1 through 4 every time you use HP Directo

Yes,its due to many reasons. its general, may b there is some missing gamefile or the installation was not done properly at that time, it also due to some system inreq.ment. so i suggest to reinstall it otherwise remove it because it may harms ur system

You have given no information on your PC hardware, what OS you use, or if it is 32 or 64 bit.

Did you recieve the original CD\DVD - it seems like a pirated copy - please confirm if it is licensed software and we can take it from there.

Uninstall "HP Director" and replace with "HP Solution Center" New Updates (especially IE 7) make this application incompatible. Ed

It could be about this: I had same problem until I found a review somewhere - even HP technical support was totally useless - until HP FINALLY decided to up date its drivers to account for my/many people's downloading of Internet Explorer 7. As this is now done, and you cannot easily uninstall IE7 and go back to IE6: try again (1) HP Director and if not (2) I think update drivers or (3) uninstall / reinstall. Hope it helps.
