It sounds like you may have been infected somehow. Try running an anti-spyware and anti-virus to do a scan of your computer. Also, send a note to you email provider.

Wye i cont get my mail

Important information can sometimes be sent to an old email address that you no longer use.

For instance, if you registered a domain name, a website hosting account, a PayPal, or eBay account with an old email address but forgot to update your account when you switched email providers, then messages sent by those sites will be overlooked.

Finding old email accounts is not that difficult, especially because email users tend to use the same user name, or variations of it, for all email accounts.

If you know, or have an idea of what the old user name was, then retrieving, or changing the password is simple, but each email server uses a different user name or password retrieval method.

Call your internet provider and tell them you have forgotten your email account.

Give them your name and account number, found on your monthly statement.
In some cases the Internet provider will want to email this information to you.

Be sure they send the information to the alternate email address which you can access.
You don't want them to send messages to the email address you can't currently access.

The internet provider will ask you the security question you selected when signing up for the account.

If you can't remember what you selected, then the customer service representative may ask for a user name, your address, or the telephone number under which you registered the account.

Reset the password with the customer service representative over the phone.
The representative will help you change the user name if needed and reset the password so you can access the account again.
Yahoo Email

Go to the Yahoo mail page which asks you for your Yahoo ID.

Click on "I can't access my account."

Make the appropriate selection from the choices.
If you choose "I can't remember my user ID" then Yahoo will have you answer the "secret questions" they asked when you signed up.

These questions will be something like: "What was your first car?" or "Who was your third grade teacher?" If you answer coincides with the answer you gave when you signed up for the account.

Yahoo will give you your user ID.

After recovering your user ID, click on "I can't access my account" again and select "I can't remember my password," then click next and you will be taken to a change password screen, where you can change your password.

Start using your old Yahoo email account.
MSN Hotmail Email

Go to the Hotmail, or the MSN ID page, where it asks for your user name and password
Enter your user ID.

Unfortunately, MSN requires you to remember the user ID.

Click on "I have forgotten password"

Choose whether you want your password mailed to you or changed.
Unless you have registered a secondary email, if you choose email then the password will be sent to the account you can't access.

If you want to change password then you will be asked the security questions you specified when you registered the account.

Questions are something similar to, "Mothers birth place?" You may also be asked for your zip code, or address.

Enter a new password.

Enter anew password when the MSN ID page loads again and access your old email account.
Gmail Email

Access the Gmail ID page and click on "I can't access my account."

Choose the appropriate selection from the page that loads.
Options include, "I have forgotten my password" and "I have forgotten my user name."

If you select "I forgot user name," then click on "retrieve user name page," which you will see further down on the page.

Enter the alternate e-mail with which you registered the account.
The user name will be sent to that email.

Select "I have forgotten my password" If you know your user name then choose and click on "retrieve password" page.

Enter your user name on the page that comes up and then answer the confidential question that is asked.

Send password reset instructions to an alternate email and access your old Gmail email account.

When i log in my password it says incorrect password. Iv tried to reset my password. On the face book screen it says a password code was sent to my e-mail. But when i check my e-mail address its not there....

there is a way to have it sent to another email; address. at the login screen, click "forgot your password?" at the next scree, use the third option to "Enter your name and a friend's name." Do this, and make sure that you spell each name as it appears in facebook. then you'll be taken to a page that says "Reset Your Password?" and it should show the email address you have linked to the account. Click the "No longer have access to these?" option. then it will ask for your new email and to confirm it. You will then be asked a security question. Enter this, and it will say an email has been sent to the new email you provided. hope this helps.

I can't get Outlook set up for my new ymail account. I keep getting asked for my user name and password. Then I get an error message: Task 'plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com - Sending' reported error (0X800CCC92)...

my understanding is that you need to have yave yahoo plus to get this to work, yahoo plus is the paid version for you to have pop access which means be able to use an email client (like outlook) to retrieve yahoo mail there.
now if you have not paid for yahoo plus you can do the following:
1. switch your yahoo account to be localized to asia, which should also (for now) allow you to use pop access on a free yahoo account, you need to look around into the account options (Its under Account Info, Account Settings,Set Language Site and Time Zone or something like that)
2. once 1 has been completed go into yahoo and add your yahoo account, * for logon info use only your yahoo user name (not the @yahoo.com) * enter your correct password *for incoming email server: pop.mail.yahoo.com *for outgoing email server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
3. go into more settings>advance * incoming server port should be 110 *outgoing server port should be 587
good luck

Pop email settings with godaddy domain

I FINALLY GOT THE ANSWER! I ALSO HAVE A GODADDY EMAIL ADDRESS AND USE A HTC TOUCH PHONE FROM SPRINT. I've entered the following settings and my email now works like a charm! This is for a POP3 email address, not an IMAP email address.

You cannot send the email unless you have a sprint email address. Email must go through the Sprint server in order to be sent (incoming mail does not).

Call Sprint Tier II (877.345.7895) and ask them to set you up with a User Name and Password for the outgoing mail server. All the rest of the settings are as follows:

EMAIL SET UP Email Address: You@YourGoDaddyDomain.com Your Password: the password you use to access your go daddy account Check SAVE PASSWORD Click NEXT UNCLICK TRY TO GET EMAIL SETTINGS AUTOMATICALLY FROM THE INTERNET. Click NEXT. Your Email Provider: Internet Email Click Next Your Name: Dales Wife Account Display Name: 'GoDaddy Email" or whatever you'd like to call it so you can identify this account (you can have several email accounts sent to your phone). Click NEXT Incoming Mail Server: pop.secureserver.net Account Type: POP3 Click NEXT User Name: Again enter You@YourGoDaddyDomain.com Password: Enter your password again Check SAVE PASSWORD Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server: smtp.sprintpcs.com CHECK Outgoing server requires authentication UNCHECK Use the same user name and password for sending email Advanced Server Settings: DO NOT Check: Require SSL for Incoming e-mail DO NOT Check: Require SSL for Outgoing e-mail Click DONE to return to previous screen Click NEXT Outgoing Server Login: TheNameGivenToYou@sprintpcs.com Password: When you call Sprint Tier II they will ask you what password you'd like. Check Save Password. Automatic Send/Receive: I use every 5 minutes and it doesn't seem to run my battery down. Click FINISH. This has been driving me crazy for two months now so I really hope this information helps somebody else out. Best of luck! NOW, if anyone knows how to remove those annoying envelopes when I access my mail - I could use the help. There are three envelopes there (one for GoDaddy mail, one for Outlook and one for Picture Mail.) I do not use Outlook or Picture Mail and would love it if I could remove those.

Scanning

Follow the instructions below if you run into any configuration problems report back to this site and I will be notified by email.
-
Scan to E-mail allows a scanned document to be distributed to one or more e-mail addresses. This feature allows e-mails to be sent from the printer directly to an SMTP mail server.

NOTE: This solution assumes Microsoft Internet Explorer is being used as the web browser. Other web browsers may vary. You may need to contact your System Administrator to perform this solution, as it requires knowledge of the network’s email system.

The printer will have to be configured for TCP/IP (IP Address, Subnet Mask, Broadcast Address, Gateway Address). Before you begin, print a System Settings List and make sure the printer has an IP Address and that Internet Services is enabled. See the Related Items below for additional information.
NOTE: An e-mail server must be configured properly and running on the network to perform this solution. The IP Address of the e-mail server is required.
  1. Open an Internet browser window on the workstation.
  2. Enter the IP Address of the printer in the Address field, and then press [Enter] on the keyboard. The Internet Services window will be displayed.
  3. Click on [Properties]. The Properties window will be displayed.
  4. Click on [Machine Details] from the list on the left side of the window.
  5. Enter a valid SMTP Compliant e-mail address in the Administrator E-mail Address field.

NOTE: When entering the address the SMTP-compliant format must be used, for example, person@company.com. Any replies to e-mail sent from the printer will go to the address specified in the field.

  6. Enter a valid SMTP Compliant e-mail address in the Machine E-mail Address field.
  7. Click on [Apply New Settings].
  8. If prompted for a user ID and password, enter the administrator user ID and password in the fields provided, and then click [OK].

NOTE: The default user ID and password is admin and are case sensitive.

  9. Click on the [+] next to the Protocol Settings folder. A list of items will be displayed.
  10. Click on the [E-mail] link. A list of settings will be displayed on the right side of the window.
  11. Select the receiving protocol to be used from the Receiving Protocol pull-down menu.

NOTE: Contact your System Administrator for more information regarding the receiving protocol of your e-mail server.

  12. Enter the IP Address of the POP3 Server in the POP3 Server Address field.

NOTE: There is no option to set a DNS Host Name for the POP3 Server. Contact your System Administrator if you require additional information.

  13. Enter the username for the POP3 account in the POP User Name field.
  14. Enter the password for the POP3 user name in the POP User Password field.
  15. Enter the password again for the POP3 user name in the Confirm Password field.
  16. Enter the IP Address of the SMTP Server in the SMTP Server Address field.

NOTE: There is no option to set a DNS Host Name for the SMTP Server. Contact your System Administrator if you require additional information.

  17. Click on [Apply New Settings]. A page will be displayed asking for the printer to be rebooted for the new settings to take effect.
  18. Click on [Reboot]. A 'Do you want to Reboot?' message will be displayed.
  19. Click [OK] to continue with the reboot.
  20. Click on the [X] in the upper, right corner to close the window.
